how much time does it take to for a player to get better?
Depending on the training and there starting stat and your academy level
It’s quicker earlier (except power that trains the quickest 23-27)
Fielding when 16 can take 2-5 weeks up to reliable in a half decent academy
Bat bowl tech around 8 weeks depending on what level and of course your academy

thanks
I will clarify after reading my own post, when I say 2-5 weeks up to reliable, I do mean per level, as in 2-3 weeks from ord to avg 4-5 weeks from capable to reliable
And about 8 weeks on a primary from ord to avg 10ish from avg to reasonable again all depending on academy’s and if the player has spare ratings in that skill.

He has 4.6k spares and Looking at his summary’s his bowling is only at ord so to me it looks like he’s baseline avg bowling
His batting and keeping are also at ord summary so looks like higher side of ord on them
And with those skills and him being a Med if you plan on keeping him I would train fielding to reasonable then throw him on keeper/bat from there.
But that’s just me.

If he was mine I’d go fielding to Reliable then pure bat and use that finisher talent by batting him @ 5-6 depending on the rest of your line up, possibly @ 4 once he develops a bit more in the T20’s

I formed my club last Friday, and the first youth player I produced looks like this:

Wade Crafter - 16y1w | 24,960 rating | $1,208 wage

Batting dreadful Endurance dreadful
Bowling reasonable Technique average
Keeping dreadful Power average
Fielding average

How is he, and how should I train him? I just put him on bowling for the first week.
Train his fielding first, it trains quickest when young and it will keep his wage down at end of season
Take fielding to Reliable then train bowling and bowling tech from there.

Personally if I was you and just starting I’d sell him, with a low end academy you won’t get the best out of him and with almost 5k spare ratings and already reas/avg bowl tech you’ll make a few $$ which is the most important thing when your just getting going.

Sorry for the long post but I will provide his stats and also his training history.

He turned 25 this week so would hope to be finishing his skills before moving on to fitness and power.

My question is what training do I give guy out so I get a final pop on his keeping, tech and fielding and perhaps his batting? ( Batting not important)

Looking at his training history, he would have been on keeper-bat training from 13-Jan until 31-Mar when keeping popped, then switched to fielding training to pop fielding on 28-Apr.

By my calcs, sublevels (min) would be:
batting ~660 , Tech ~760 , Keep ~850 , Field ~370

I would expect keeping to pop in 3 weeks on keeper-bat
Then expect tech to pop in a further 4 weeks on batting
Batting to pop in the next 3 weeks on batting
Fielding for another 4 weeks

Then when he turns 26, be ready for strength training.
