Thanks! It's pretty much what I thought. Think he probably has a bit of SR in batting, so may go for a bit of AR training after fielding.darkmatter wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 11:17 pm
Shame about the waste in keeping, he's a pretty good player. Nice experience and not bad captaincy as well, just good overall.
Personally I'd be pushing that fielding up to capable and then going bowler all out until 19ish and reassess. I know he lacks the direct talent, but gifted power will mean you can probably spend a bit longer on bowling, which will help in the long run.
He also is a bit short on spares (1810 if I counted correctly?) and the skill summary doesn't really tell you too much, but the wage may suggest a lowish reasonable, probably best to go all in.
I should AR is certainly viable, and if you don't like mediums bowlers without some form of active talent, then AR training after capable bowling until 19ish wouldn't hurt, a few batting pops is hardly a bad thing.
As with all my comments, I would recommend waiting for a second opinion
In a deluxe regardless of country he's gonna have a good chance of making youth nats with those starting stats, and probably gives you more justification for a couple of AR pops. Congrats again!Tdk1023 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 5:32 pmThanks! It's pretty much what I thought. Should be a solid #8.
Got a deluxe academy so hopefully he can turn into a decent medium pacer.

Hi all, is he a Nat material? What should be the training regime?
Biggest advantage is it’s quick, depending on your academy it should only take 4-5 weeks a pop and you also get residual tech and endo.jv22 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 6:24 amIn the post above darkmatter recommends training fielding first (up to capable) and then moving to primary.
Is there an advantage, in training fielding when a player is 16 rather than a primary and then alternating training as the player develops and ages (still reaching capable fielding by the time he turns 19)?
Hope the question makes sense!

He should definitely be in the mix for the U20s I imagine.dhoni007 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 12:38 amScotland Youth >> Henk Wisgerhof >> Details

What's your YA like?
In terms of training, it's pretty simple in the short term. Fielding until capable, then bowling technique until it's caught up.
At that point, you can either continue to work on his primaries (advisable if he's likely to play for the U20s) or you could work on his fielding again to get that sorted sooner rather than later.
I'm not good at predicting levels, but that sounds like a good training plan; with that gap I suspect it will mainly be bowling tech though.Brunel37 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 6:32 pmRaqib Omar Bangladesh

Going to train this guy to capable fielding and then work on bowling tech/bowling. With a lavish academy what level do we think he might reach when he leaves the youth squad and turns 21?
Is there any other way I should be training him?
