Understanding Match Ratings

The most important thing to remember about Match Ratings is that it is a pre-match summary of the 2 sides about to play each other.
I'll say it again, It is a skill summary before a match starts.
It does not factor in things like weather, type of pitch and a few other influencing components of a match. Tactics is one and player talents both triggered and passive also are not included. So it is not always relevant to the outcome of a match.
Match Ratings are best used for assessing your own squad and the various line ups you may wish to try based on their relevent skills. Try out different combinations to discover the best combinations for the different breakdowns. Top order, middle and tail. Seam and spin bowlers and also fielding.
Try using it to form a competitive side and use it to decide where best to make improvements.
Mainly remember that it is pre match comparison of skills between the 2 sides not a prediction of the match result. Use it for building you squad.
Feel free to add your own thoughts or advice.
