Training Days

Post by spark » Mon Sep 14, 2020 11:43 am

I thought I'd start a thread for people to show off their favourite training pops of their american players. Or to ask for training advice from fellow members of the USA community.

I'll begin with what's been a good week of training for me.

Feels like it's been ages since I had a good pop for Clarke but finally his batting is at outstanding.

Armando Clarke
20y7w | 49,407 rating | $6,250 wage (7% discount)
Right hand batsman | Right arm Medium
Talents Gifted (Power), Skilled (Batting)
Nationality USAThis player is a member of the national squad USA
Form reasonable

Experience capable
Captaincy ordinary
Skills Summary
Batsman expert
Bowler ordinary
Keeper expert
Allrounder average

Batting outstanding Endurance capable
Bowling ordinary Technique expert
Keeping outstanding Power poor
Fielding reliable

Really happy with Mills; he's looking like he's going to be my best batsman for a while.

Wyatt Mills
17y13w | 37,934 rating | $1,754 wage (5.5% discount)

Batting now at reasonable for Schneider but do I carry on with allrounder training or just make him a bowler? With the age changes, I suspect that he's not going to be required as much (or at all) as an U20 allrounder.

Rodney Schneider
17y8w | 35,507 rating | $1,782 wage (5% discount)

I like this, and then we can leave the other thread purely for pulls, nice and organised!

Double pop. Primaries should pop soon...

Trying to decide if I want to keep in my senior side. He's a good player, but I have the identical in terms of type/talents Wallace; who is a season and a half younger, and arguably already better:

19y3w | 43,557 rating | $3,301 wage
Batting ordinary Endurance reasonable
Bowling accomplished Technique accomplished
Keeping ordinary Power reasonable
Fielding accomplished

I don't really think I need two talentless FS bowlers to push through seniors, and obviously Wallace is the better pick..

Rodney Schneider - what's the long term plan? Keep or just train for youth.
His secondaries are in a place where you might be able to justify training him on AR for a couple more pops? It's that tricky decision period isn't it!

Schneider was one of the highest wages of the season pulled week 1, there's no way he's not a nat level player.
And now, It's time for some Bandit Keith fan service...

I guess I'll carry on with allrounder then if he'll still be needed that way for internationals.

I'd definitely keep the younger one of the two. He's got a nice bonus amount of power too.

It'll be great to have a bit of strength in depth to the wicketkeeping in a few seasons time with players like Steele.

Avila is coming along nicely although I might be selling at some point in the not too distant future.

The best pop was with Kenneth Brooks as his Captaincy increased to Expert. Very valuable, as I have few captaincy options across the whole club.

I like LF bowlers, and Don Ray is progressing nicely as a LF/AR. Batting should pop to reliable next week and he's on track to finish his AR training before he moves to the senior squad.
