A 3rd straight win, but still in a tough battle to ensure we can advance to the semi-finals.

Well done chaps, great results in the cup so far.

I do want to also give a small shout out to the previous management for getting us into Div 1. Let's somehow bring it home!

Yes of course getting to div 1 was the most important barrier to cross. Good job there. :thumbsup

West Indies in the semi final on an uneven track in windy conditions. :think

Well, our batting failed to cope with the WI's attack and they didn't get enough runs on the board, despite some early wickets.

Overall, I think a good campaign, topping our group.

Tour Squad Announcement - Nat One Day Division 3

It was an excellent T20 World Cup for us and Zimbabwe was a wonderful place to visit. Despite this, it must be noted that there were some complaints about the noise both in the dressing/locker rooms and in the hotels. The players felt the doors were often insufficiently oiled and that, at times, the creaking sounds were horrendous. Mysteriously, no matter how much the door hinges were oiled or greased the noise persisted. Upon further investigation President bura discovered the cause. It was not the sound of door hinges at all but the creaking of the joints of an aging squad! This creaking, combined with an increased amount of groaning when rising from their seats, has seen President bura and his assistants take decisive action and remove some of the older members of the team. Let's see who has made it through this cull (no players were physically harmed in this process although some feelings were hurt) and who the new faces are. Here is the squad:

Batsmen
Eric Beasley (Allmänna Idrottsklubben)
Alfredo Brock (rogue mercenaries)
Tristan McClain (Woodchester XI)
Everett Harrison (The Bengals)
Ulysses De La Cruz II (Snickets II CC)
Ken Haley (Behala Black Panthers)
Carlos Riley (Philly_Bluenose)

Keepers

Alfredo Bowers (Ruff Royals)
Ronald Burton (Philly_Bluenose)

Bowlers
Seth Garcia (Allmänna Idrottsklubben)
Brain Coleman (Groundboys)

Clinton Gallegos (Central Coast Wombats)
Alfredo Diaz (Ruff Royals)
Patrick Hilton (Nimeämätön XI)

Tony Pace (Caterham Crusaders)
Joshua Brennan (Hotshots)

Thomas Mosley (Philly_Bluenose)

Adam Nixon (Relegation Reprobates)

Let's not dwell too much on those players who have been ceremoniusly ditched but instead welcome those new players who will be travelling to Scotland. Debuts go to: Ulysses De La Cruz II, who has been around the squad for a while now and has finally got an opportunity to shine; Ken Haley, who will look to show off his batting prowess; Carlos Riley who has been parachuted in (not literally) to captain the side; Thomas Mosley will look to fill the Vaughn shaped hole in the squad; Tony Pace will be keen to show that you don't need much speed at the top level of cricket but that you do need Pace; and it's Brian Coleman who will actually be supplying some pace.

The management team are keen to stress that a curse has not been placed on the squad by a disgruntled former USA international and that the players form will soon improve. There is also no reason to be concerned that four of the games are to be played on an uneven pitch despite that being the third choice pitch.

Pitches
Uneven v Scotland
Uneven v Zimbabwe
Hard v South Africa
Uneven v Netherlands
Uneven v Pakistan

Our matches start at 09:00 FTP time on 7th December. We must insist on your support which can be only done by following and commenting on the USA matches. If you don't we will cry and think that you don't care.

I thought it was just McClain having a bad run of form, just looked at the whole squad

Great write up as always, interesting pitch variation (or lack of)

Yup seriously good writing. As always love them!

Don't know who to bribe to fix up the form situation. This has been a nuisance for the last few tours.

Form is a real problem when our squad is so thin.

Not enough runs on the board in our first tour match against Scotland, then our fielders perform as though the ball had grease on it. :doh

18/20 seniors in my squad are reasonable or below. McClain being at the bottom of that barrel. When he went back to average I had some hopes his form would recover, but back to ordinary :ninja

Considering the rating gap, 195 was low, but potentially defendable.. de la Cruz II had a fantastic debut.

yes batting was below par but not horrible. Those 5 drops during drinks ruined all hopes for a win.

Great early bowling by Garcia really set us up for the win against Zimbabwe. We didn't finish Zimbabwe off with the ball as quickly as I'd have liked after a good start but I'd have certainly taken chasing 163 for the win if that was offered before the game began.

It was a good team contribution with that bat with no-one getting a big score and everyone who had a chance played their part.

Our other games might be a bit of a struggle as judging by the first days ratings this was going to be our easiest game.
