A rubbish youth recruit for me (not the 16-year-old below; he's definitely not rubbish) but some decent pops this week.

Rodney Schneider
16 years | 32,018 rating | $1,322 wage (5% discount)
Right hand batsman | Right arm Medium
Talents Natural Leader
Nationality USA USA
Form average
Fatigue rested
Experience poor
Captaincy poor
Skills Summary
Batsman ordinary
Bowler average
Keeper poor
Allrounder average
Skills
Batting average Endurance average
Bowling reasonable Technique reasonable
Keeping poor Power average
Fielding capable

Originally I was thinking on just making Schneider a bowler who can bat a bit but I should stick to allrounder now, right?

Yeah that's unfortunate.

Had he had good fielding, I'd still have been tempted to go for bowler and just take the batting as a bonus, but I'd think a bit late.. Still a decent pull as a Batsman with a relevant talent tbh!

With those secondaries, I would have thought you can justify leaving him on AR for a while now!

I think its just a fielding till reas and see if the summary gives you a hint. if not he should be a solid bowler for club

Depends on your need. Technique is so low that you have to pick batsman or bowler. Which do you need more?

I was thinking about this, but as I have a couple of fast bowlers in my youth squad already am favouring his batting skill.

Definitely going to leave on fielding to reasonable. I probably need batsmen more, but he's only one of three FMs in my youth squad, the other two being 19 and 20.. Definitely worth mulling over while I wait so thanks both :thumbsup

Nice double pop but shame he doesn't have a talent.

Would have been nice earlier in the season. I guess he still could be okay for my youths but I might have too many bowlers already.

solid pull, as you say 9 weeks training extra would have been very helpful.

if you get the 19yo to pop one on the fielding that will help the U20s well as we have been let down with our fielding quite a bit recently. (although most of the time our rating seems to be pretty good)

Fired youth almost immediately.

Decent pop on the 16yo I pulled a couple of weeks ago - so will probably switch to fielding until capable and then go back to bowling until whenever:

I guess the age change will make him more useful now; I'm glad I didn't list him straight away.
