What about a stick with a balloon tied on for a head?

Gidday all, I hope everyone is well.

A disappointing loss to Bermuda in the T20.friendly today.
Fielding first our opponents mustered 194 what imo on flat was a 50/50.score.
Lebron James excelled with 5 scalps (5-38).. :clap

Chasing our elite.batsman Kosgey set the tone going first ball
A good recovery by Ndegwa(18), Kanye(51) and Kibet(38), but after that only wk Kabando(29) showed the right spirit.
We fell 26 runs short.

A very meagre display, but enough time to improve for the june.tour :whistle

Our 2nd T20.friendly also went the other way, but a much better performance from the lads than last week.
Sent in by The Netherlands we had a bit of a shaky start losing early wickets but Ndegwa (39) held his own and had a good partnership with Kibet (22) who in turn found a good partner in Arao Murgor (25*)..
With some fierce blows from Lukaku (21 from 17 balls..) we finished 135v6 :)

Chasing James struck first ball and when Lukoye and Thiongo joined the party we had them at 68v4 halfway....
We couldn`t get rid of Fangman though and with 1 ball left they passed our total for the loss of 7 wickets.. :(

Third time lucky/succes :thumbsup
Playing the WI we were sent in and reached a total of 230v5 with Kosgey(68) and Arap Murgor(81*) as main contributors.

Defending that total we kept them to 209v4 with Mate, Ngwale, Suleiman and Cheruiyot all taking 1 wicket.
Next week the ODI.tour !

Wednesday we had another practicematch (T20) working up to the tour first week of june.
This time we played Scotland and our 176v5 with Kosgey (88*) and Kibet (56) being our main contributors proved to much for the scots.

They finished at 156v8 with Lebron James (5-28) being the main scalphunter :clap

We will have a few more friendlies before the tour starts june 1 ....

A disappointing loss in our friendly T20 vs Pakistan :think
Batting first we didn`t have a bad start with Kosgey (19) and Matthea (24), but after them only Lukaku (16) made a score of any significance.
Our total of 90 was 30-40 less than expected/needed to make it a match.

Defending that low total Samoei (3-28) had 2 quick wickets and as Suleiman (2-15) also chipped in we had a bit of a chance with their score at 34v4.
But they easily passed the 90 in over 15 :thumbsdown .

Before the tourweek we`ll have 2 more practicematches..vs West Indies and Canada.

Hi All

Thanks to those who voted for me to continue on as Kenya U20 Manager for a third term.

I promise to deliver you only exceptional results. If we fail to do so, well that’s probably Wizzo or Cynics fault.

On that note, I’d like to welcome Cynic to the U20 team. He brings with him many years of FTP experience, including a tonne of seasons as USA Senior Manager, he is also a tragic North Melbourne supporter like myself. We will both be ignoring the football results over the next couple of years at least, which allows us to fully focus on the FTP set up. I’m happy to have poached him across to the Kenya set up.

With that we say thank you to ukrooster for your service over the last few seasons mate.

Looking forward to the first OD tour, which will be a couple of weeks before Christmas, so hopefully we can bring some festive cheer around here.

Cheers
Dravy
