This twirler came through a few weeks ago.

16y3w | 29,924 rating | $1,045 wage (5% discount)
Right hand batsman | Right arm Finger spin
Talents Skilled (Bowling), Natural Leader
Nationality Scotland Scotland

Batting ordinary Endurance average
Bowling average Technique reasonable
Keeping poor Power average
Fielding reasonable

I don't think he's strong enough for an A/R so probably going for straight bowler. What level would he need to be to get into the U20 team, given he's a finger spinner?

I had this guy come through a while ago, he's looking fairly useful. I wouldn't normally train power this early, but if you think he'd be useful for the u20s then I'd consider training him a few levels.

Edit: might just be better training him properly and getting him ready for the seniors instead, think he's should be pretty darn good by the time he's 26 or so. ;)

I am thinking all-rounder for Hamish Balfour as I feel that he can turn out to be a very good one in my deluxe YA.

I thought about batter but yes the technique gap was too much and I felt that he could become a good allrounder instead.

The way I see it is that he will become a handy youth AR but I reakon he would become a beast of a batsmen with prodigy.
His tech will quickly catch up and without doing the number could be outstanding/out with good fielding at 20

Sounds good, I have him on fielding for now so I can go the batsman route if that will be more beneficial for the U20s.

I'd personally do bowling technique for a while, then switch between bowling and bowling technique once they've levelled out, it'd be a shame to waste what could be a decent spinner/AR as a batsman (even if he will be a very good batsman). In the meantime he'd probably be ok to play as a batsman in some easier games. Once he's at around a capable level of bowling then I'd switch to fielding to get him up to a similar level, then back to bowling (or maybe allrounder).

I guess it depends where your focus lies though, he may not make the U20s if you choose that method, but I think he'll be a better player in the long run.
