Robh was in charge for this match, and he has produced a tremendous result for Scotland U/19's.
Match report -

Winning the toss, Asher elected to bat and with only 5 overs gone Scotland were 2 down for only 20 odd runs, a steady partnership between Irving and Asher saw Scotland to 80 before Irving fell, soon after Scotland were 4 down and on the brink, but Asher had other ideas, and his partnership (148 runs) with the impressive douglas(76) took Scotland to an impressive score in the conditions.Asher was finally out to the last ball of the innings, but his effort did take the Scots to 266/6 in their 50 overs leaving the UAE a huge task.
UAE were soon in deep trouble as the Scots opening bowlers, Blair & Courtnay ripped 4 wickets out with the score on only 6 runs. UAE never recoverd after their horror start apart from a 70 run stand for the 6th wicket which helped them to get to 141 all out.
2 or 3 players in contention for the man of the match, but Asher with his 118 gets the nod.
