well done guys

just managed to get over the line

that last wicket partnership and Bell on fire with the ball but thought Leamy deserves a mention for that 10 overs for just 21.

:clap

Thanks chaps, we were awful with the bat but that was no surprise, our bowlers pulled us out time and again.

Ill be taking a back seat for the T20s but look forward to the 50 over stuff returning where we will be back in D1.

Thanks all! A good week for the team going back to D1 and all the management team playing their part in the win, can't ask for more than that.

Our bowling was awesome but struggled with the bat to some degree but gained some experience for some younger players.

We are now in D1 in both T20 and SOD. I couldn't see that coming when we started our tenure.

Onwards and Upwards!

A solid stay in D1 for the T20 side.

No Ronnie G and Kenny Mac stepped into his 2 games.

A disappointing start from me was soon turned around by wins by KennyMac & the usual win from Paulos!

Unfortunately in game 4 it wasn't to be for KennyMac.

I played an experimental side in game 5 defying the ground type but looking at weather and condition of the players. Also looked at how the wristies throughout the tour had cost us the most runs.......it bombed and we got gubbed sending Sri Lanka down.....sorry Bura!

Onwards to the SOD D1.

Grads to the Chief who had a win in game 1 ( such a novelty  ) against the Dutch.

Next up is my bogie team Bangladesh. Dry. Humid conditions and we have three new ODI caps being awarded.

Batsmen Aaron Cullen and Cairan Dempsey, and Keeper Bernard Banim will all be presented with their caps with one of the original Irish Internationals
David Knape.

David was a truly awful batsmen who only kept his place ( allegedly) because his Dad was in fact on the selection panel.
Yes, sadly in the early days of FTP such corruption abounded.

Not like today 8)

Grats on the opening victory.

Nice to see Hogan make a handy 50 - hopefully Dempsey can contribute tomorrow!

Good start but he has tailed off, he has a massive part to play in Irelands chance to win the Divison title.

Kennymac is the brains trust for this one.

Dry and windy vs the Saffers.

Our spinners look in good nick too.

Even if we win today Bangladesh could still move past us on NRR and they have gotten off to a quick start with 3 wickets in the first 3 overs

S. Kulkarni (rfs) 1-0-5-0, L. Leezer 13 (33b), A. Delryn 12 (31b)
End of over 12 (5 runs) - Netherlands(31-3) RR 2.58

We got off to a steady start but have just lost 2 wickets

A. de Reuck (lws) 1-1-0-0, D. Sweeney 14 (30b), P. MacNamara 0 (1b)
End of over 12 (3 runs) - Ireland(56-2) RR 4.67

Shame it didn't quite work out, but a pretty good run none the less!

A good run out for all the management team.

I even won a game!

Shame we couldn't win D1 on the last day, but those are words I didn't think we would be uttering at that start of my tenure.

Again it shows our success by working as a unit, and we really do have a very strong management team at national level.

Onwards and Upwards!
