Tour Match # 2
VS West Indies
Result: West Indies win by 6 wickets

The Match in a tweet: All is fair in love and war. But all is not fair in sport. Feeling that ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช loss harder than ever today. #robbed

Man of the Match: Hana Hassan ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช

Our best: Hana Hassan
On debut, a 100! :clap :clap
A wonderful knock from the 28 year old. A fantastic batting performance that set up a decent score. Unfortunately alone in the wilderness as no other bats really stood up with Hana. If someone else in the middle order had stood up this could have been 250 and a winning total.

2 dropped catches that run over the boundary for four.
Another drop and a missed stumping.

Some day itโ€™s just not your day.

Congratulations to Wajih for his first international wicket on debut! Expecting big things from the 28 year old. A NBB med ๐Ÿ‘€

Around the grounds:
Australia posted 282 on a highway and held on to win against Sri Lanka by 22 runs.

Ireland posted 288 on a freeway and the Dutch chased it down with 2 overs and 3 wickets to share

Seems to be a bit of a two horse race in this div and Thursdays Australia vs Netherlands looks to be a bit of a decider.

Tune in at 1500 tomorrow as we look to bounce back against Sri Lanka ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฐ.

โ€œ The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.โ€

We know your pain in the U20s  Though since we made a big fielding push it's been better. Can't say we've ever wanted for a keeper though, we've got 3 options that would be a lot of countries' first choice!

Decent start to your chase though :thumbsup

Hard lines guys, looked in with a shout with 10 overs to go but just couldn't keep that last decent partnership going :(
Kept up with the rate, just lost too many wickets. Fielding checks again the enemy  SL went 6/6, we went 2/5

Tour Match # 3
VS ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฐ
Result: ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฐ win by 44 runs

The Match in a tweet: Runs on the board, runs on the board. Win the toss, bat big, win.

Man of the Match: Silida Warnapura ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฐ (he made 175 off 157 balls including 10 4s and 2 6s) [letโ€™s not mention that he was dropped ball after drinks on 67]

Our best:
Kaliq Aziz - 3/52 and a resilient run a ball 31.
Aziz took three wickets in an over and was on a hattrick.
The pick of the bowlers taking 3 of the 7 wickets and only the Haqq was more economical (0/49) of his 10. Then contributed with the bat, a nice 100 run partnership with Zakiyy made the chase look plausible. At the end of the 36th over the required run rate was just over 7 and the lads were going at 6.66 with 5 wickets in hand. Unfortunately both set batsmen get out and the tail crumble.

Mujahid Zakiyy - A well paced 80 of 70 balls including 7 fours and 2 maximums.

Aden Talib - bounced back with the bat to make a handy 64. Not his day with the gloves, a dropped catch and a missed stumping.

Sharad Hossein - 52 off 53 balls for the opener and a catch.

Missed chances lose big games. Drops, missed stumpings all hurt at this level. Basically have to take every opportunity and we havenโ€™t done that this week. A few bats got going but no one was able to post that big score to really backbone the chase.

Avoiding the drop gets tricky here but itโ€™s doable.
Need to beat Ireland tomorrow - thatโ€™s not negotiable.
Need West Indies to lose to Sri Lanka tomorrow.
Then need to either have the biggest of big upsets against Australia OR hope Ireland beat West Indies and we scrape through on superior NRR.

Around the grounds:
Netherlands won by 83 runs. Surprise surprise batted first on the Dry, made a decent total then squeezed West Indies who were bowled out within 45 overs.

Australia held on to win by 13 runs. Ireland bowled the Aussies out for 139 before themselves got skittled for 126. Leggies on both sides having a field day on the dry wicket.

Australia and Netherlands look set to take out the two promotions. Their game tomorrow will decide the winner.

Tune in at 1500 tomorrow as we take on the Irish.

W. Turk (lws) 10-1-27-5, J. Brady 0 (0b), B. Sheridan 0 (0b)
End of over 44 (2 runs) - Ireland(180-9). 5 runs required from 6 overs. RR 4.09 RRR 0.83

Tour Match # 4
VS ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช
Result: Ireland win a thriller by 1 wicket!

The Match in a tweet: Have to give it to Sheridan, he has balls. Batting at 11, no wickets in hand, kneels down and slog sweeps a six and wins Ireland the game. ๐Ÿ€

Man of the Match:
Wakil Turk ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช

Our best:
Wakil Turk
5/27 off his 10 overs. Very nearly pulled off the impossible with a fantastic spell at the death that saw 2 catches, a stumping and a runout of his bowling.

Zavier Salman
A gritty 28 with the bat and then some glorious glovemanship. 2 stumpings and two catches. Absolutely on fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ today.

Alan Morrow
1/23 off his 7.2 overs and 11 with the bat.

That was almost a win for the ages! But wasnโ€™t to be unfortunately. That locks our fate and itโ€™ll be back to div 3 for us. We knew it was going to be rough and having minimal luck hasnโ€™t helped us one bit. We just have to ride the wave and look forward to the future talents the UAE faithful are training up. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช

Around the Grounds:
Netherlands have one hand on the trophy after smashing the Aussies by 110 runs. Batted first made 300+ and then bowled Australia out. Simples.

Sri Lanka beat the West Indies by 5 wickets. Unfortunately for Sri Lanka they either need to beat the unbeaten Dutch or have the winless us beat Australia.

Tune in at 1500 tomorrow as we round out this tour against Australia. Who knows whatโ€™s possible!
