You know!

A buzzing feeling but there is now some sad news. Moose has decided to step down as NT assistant. I want to thank him for all the work he's done. He's been fantastic but time is an issue. Fortunately for you lucky lot he still wants to write match reports so you can all look forward to much more of that.

If we absolutely fail next tour. It will be all Moose fault as he couldve prevented it

That also frees up the space for a NT Assistant. So if anyone wants to.message me in game about it. Feel free.

Was looking at some tour stats, 5 of the top 14 wicket takers (noone else had more than 2), 6 of the top 11 economy rates, including the top 3. 2 bats in the top 25 for runs. Clear to see where the strength is!

Tour Match # 5
VS South Africa
Result: :thumbsup
UAE won by 9 wickets!

The Match in a Tweet: I love it when a plan comes together. As complete a performance as UAE has given us in recent history.

Man of the Match: Kaliq Aziz (UAE)
A hattrick for Aziz!

Our best:
Kaliq Aziz - 4/35 from his four overs. Leaked 17 overs in his first over (and for a wicket). Was fantastic after that and the hattrick essentially put the nail in South Africa’s innings.

Mu’adh Khaleel - my friend my friend 3/13 from 3.1 his overs. All his wickets were LBW as well. Also took a catch off Aziz’s bowling!

Alam Nu’man - 58 runs from the skipper. An almost flawless chase from the two openers. Hit seven 4s.

Khayri Salah - 57 from 29 balls including 8 4s. Wow wonderful batting and will be sad he didn’t quite see out the chase.

Nawfal Shadi - The big man came out and took 2/25 to cap a good day for the seamers.

Shoutout to the ice man Ghayth who had one dot ball as a sighted than smacked a six to ice the game!

Around the Grounds:
Scotland beat Kenya by 14 runs.
Ireland beat Zimbabwe by 19 runs.

Scotland win the tour with just the one loss.

Ourselves, Ireland and South Africa all finish on 3 wins. Tonight’s comprehensive win sealing the deal and giving us enough NRR to March on up to Div 2.

Kenya and Zimbabwe each with 1 win for the tour.

Trust in the process 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪

Thanks EB!

Yes, unfortunately for everyone, my write ups will keep coming!
Absolutely happy to take the blame - a scape goat never hurt and I’ve got thick skin!

Would recommend anyone who has a bit of time and interest in learning more about the game to make the most of the opportunity and get on board as a nat assistant! 🇦🇪

Yeh surprised me a little too. Not much difference between the bats or the bowlers in terms of strength but the bats don't really have an absolutely stand out player to take the game. Apart from Salah we are a little weaker there. Bowl well in this format though and the bats should do there job even it a little weaker.

Hey everyone,

Thanks EB for the opportunity to take on this role, I’m really looking forward to it. Happy to be jumping in after a successful tour, and hopefully the next one is just as good.

I know I have some big shoes to fill, and I’m glad Moose isn’t stopping the match reports, because I really don’t think I could’ve taken that on the way he does it.

What a week! 3 Wins, 2 Losses and we march off to Div. 2 in the Slash and Dash format of the game.

Just to give some context on how successful a week it was - that's the first tour since Season 45 where we have won more than 2 matches. We have 5 competitive wins so far in Season 48. We managed two total last season.

Tour Wrap

Results:
21 run win over Kenya.
10 run loss to Zimbabwe.
6 wicket win over Ireland.

9 wicket win over South Africa.

Ladder:
1st. Scotland 4 wins
2nd. UAE 3 wins +0.74 NRR
3rd. Ireland 3 wins +0.47 NRR
4th. South Africa 3 wins -1.04 NRR
5th. Kenya 2 wins -0.48 NRR
6th. Zimbabwe 2 wins -0.60 NRR

Now a look into how our lads performed individually this week:

2. Alam Nu'man - 102 runs from 3 innings
3. Shaquille Rahman - 67 runs from 3 innings

Lovemore Bunjira of Zimbabwe leading the tour with 164 runs from 4 innings.

Our highest score: Alam Nu'man's 58 against South Africa. (Beating Salah's effort also against South Africa of 57 by 1 run)
The most average: Alam Nu'man had our best average for the tour with 51.00 (a not out helping that)
The MAXIMUM: Four batsmen (Zimbabwe's Brendan Taylor, South Africa's Forward Mboyi, Ireland's Anderson Silva and Ireland's Paul Striling) hit four 6s in the tour. Jaul Ghayth was our best, hitting three maximums.

Most Wickets Taken:
1. Kamal Qassem - 9 wickets for 55 runs from 3 matches and 68 balls (best on the tour from any nation)
2. Nawfal Shadi - 7 wickets for 110 runs from 4 matches and 96 balls
3. Kaliq Aziz - 6 wickets for 73 runs from 2 matches and 48 balls

Sunny all week except for Tuesday when it was a little bit cloudy.

As always, I am human, so apologies for any errors in the above data.

Another tour done and dusted. The seniors will be back on the 16th of August for a week of One Day Div. 3 Cricket.

Youth tour up next week - Div. 2 T20 for the lads. Games are in Scotland - so games start at 0900 FTP time.
Get around the youth.

For those who have read this far, I love you all.

May all your youth pulls be handsome and your academies upgraded.

Final tour on its way next week for us.

Pitches for the tour are Green. Uneven. Green. Green. Hard.

The pitch selection for the tour probably couldn't have highlighted the weaknesses we had more.

To put a positive slant on things. Getting three greens instead of 3 uneven helps us out a little more. So let's see if we can get anything out of it.
