Thought we had that one. Yet again we find ourselves just slightly short of a decent chase. Becoming annoying but it is what it is. See if we can get that extra out of the next performance.

Well well well.

National cricket is back. UAE looking good in a chase. UAE not winning.
Oh the games we play.

Nothing better than a game of national cricket at the Adelaide Oval starting at midnight in front of 26,000+ fans.

A spinners pitch but the humidity meant the spinners struggled to grip the ball.

Tour Match # 1
VS Australia
Result: :thumbsdown
Australia won by 10 runs.

The Match in a tweet: UAE stormed The Adelaide Oval but the Australian's hold on in an absolute thriller.

Man of the Match: Amir Alam

Our best:
Amir Alam - 4/72 off his 10 overs then a fighting 14 with the bat.

Ghayth just fell short of the fifty and great efforts from all the team.

Around the Grounds:
Scotland beat Pakistan by 7 wickets
South Africa beat USA by 4 wickets.

Tomorrow we take on USA at 00:00. Tune in then as we look for our first win this tour!

That was close. Hopefully more luck against the USA today.

I think this is the first time I've had two seniors NTs on tour with UAE

93 runs from their 8th and 9th wicket partnerships :doh

Chase of 161 still puts us on top though.

Couldn't believe that tail wagged like that. Just the kind of thing that happens against us! Least we chased it down well!

Apologies for not being online for the games. The timezone makes it 1am here for me.

See if we can get a second tomorrow vs the unbeaten South Africa.

Winner winner chicken dinner! :party :clap :hug

Tour Match # 2
VS USA 🇺🇸
Result: :thumbsup
UAE won by 7 wickets

The Match in a tweet: USAs tail almost stole the show turning 7/68 into 161.

Man of the Match: Freddie Hogan 🇺🇸
A gutsy lower order 51 from the USA captain.

Our best:
Khayri Salah - Unbeaten 57 to safely see the successful chase through.

Kaliq Aziz - 2/26 off his 10 including 2 maidens.

Rais Armanjani - 2/29 and a catch.

Hana Hassan - 37 unbeaten to see out the winning chase.

Sharad Hossein - a solid 45 from the opener to set up the chase.

Around the Grounds:
South Africa beat Scotland by 63 runs.
Pakistan beat Australia by 4 wickets. :o

That upset means the field is completely wide open. South Africa sitting pretty on top with 2 wins and the USA holding up the rest with 0 wins. All four other nations each sitting on the single win.

Tomorrow we take on the unbeaten South Africa at 00:00. Tune in then as we look for our first win this tour!

Well that’s a little disheartening.

Lads will have to move on quickly from that display and look forward to the final 2 matches of the tour.

Write up to follow a bit later.

Just wow. Our batting is well and truly back. Wouldn't be a tour without our batsmen pretending they have no arms.

Been a rough couple of days for the UAE lads who will look to bounce back and snag a win in their final game of the tour.

Tour Match # 3
VS South Africa
Result: :wall
South Africa won by 116 runs.

The Match in a tweet: The young guns the only shining light for UAE. 4 wickets for Hud Sam and 3 wickets for Khaleel.

Man of the Match: Clement Rundell (SA)
72 runs, 3 catches and a stumping.

Our best:
Hud Sam - Four wickets off his 10 overs for the young leggie.

Rahul Jabbar - 56 runs of the 117. Sadly a lone hand in a pretty poor batting effort.

Around the Grounds:
Pakistan beat USA by 51 runs.
Australia beat Scotland by 2 runs.

Scotland almost get the massive upset but fall 2 runs short in the chase. Went from 4/152 to all out for 173.

Tour Match # 4
VS Pakistan
Result: :wall
Pakistan won by 101 runs.

The Match in a tweet: Well I am sad now.

Man of the Match: Jahangir Badshah (Pak)
107 runs from the opener.

Our best:
Rais Armanjani - 2 wickets and 27 runs.

Around the Grounds:
Scotland beat USA by 74 runs.
Australia beat South Africa by 3 wickets.

South Africa, Pakistan, Australia all equal on 3 wins.
Scotland on 2 wins.
Us on the 1 win.
USA winless.

Pakistan play South Africa in a winner takes all play off style match. Winner will progress. Loser will have to pray for other results.

A win for Australia against winless USA will see them guarantee the second promotion spot.

Scotland have a handy NRR so a win against us and a USA upset over Australia would most likely see them snag second. Scotland would need South Africa to beat Pakistan.

We take on Scotland tomorrow at 00.00. Tune in then as we look to finish the week with a win.
