When youโre on youโre on.
When youโre not, youโre not.
Sadly not our week, needed a bit of luck to snag some wins and unfortunately got donuts.
A winless week means we go back down to Div 3.
Results:
53 run loss against Netherlands.
6 wicket loss against West Indies.
44 run loss against Sri Lanka.
1 wicket loss against Ireland.
17 run loss against Australia.
Ladder:
1st. Sri Lanka - 4 wins 1 loss +1.08 NRR
2nd. Netherlands - 4 wins 1 loss +0.68 NRR
3rd. Australia - 4 wins 1 loss +0.06 NRR
4th. West Indies - 2 wins 3 losses
5th. Ireland - 1 win 4 losses
6th. UAE - 0 win 5 losses
Sri Lanka pull a Friday upset against the Dutch and snag top spot in doing so. Their win also pushed Australia out of promotion. Many including myself thought Australia and the Netherlands would walk through to win promotion.
West Indies had a clear game plan for this tour. They got their two wins against us and Ireland and held onto a spot in Div 2 next tour.
Now a look into how our lads performed individually this week:
Our Best Performers:
1. Wakil Turk - 203 fantasy points from 3 matches including 1 Man of the Match
2. Sharrad Hossein - 166 fantasy points from 4 matches

Turk, Nasser and Zakiyy are all 31+ and nearing the end. That probably shows where we are at and how these next few tours will be a challenge until the younger talents mature and step up.

Not the ideal debut tour for Wajih but he will bounce back!

That, that, thatโs all folks.
Thatโs a wrap for the tour - not a good one for us and we will have to go back to Div 3 for the next tour.
Join us on Monday over on the youth page for coverage of the youth matches.
Keep pulling UAE, keep training the prospects and keep faith. Do the work and the rest of pieces will fall into place.
