Match tied

N. Bibee (rf) 4-0-28-2, B. Nazih 0 (0b), Z. Baha 29 (18b)
End of over 20 (9 runs) - UAE U20(162-9). 1 runs required from 0 overs. RR 8.10 RRR 0.00

The two early wickets cost us in the end. Another disappointing performance overall.

In saying that, a tie today means a win against South Africa tomorrow will see us through to the T20 World Cup regardless of results. At least we have something to play for...

8) First non loss* on the T20 scene so I am taking it.
:party :party :party
*that I’ve done a write up for. Draws are not losses. Do not @ me.

I need to go take a cold shower so many emotions....

[Press Conference will resume shortly]

Tour Match # 4
VS πŸ‡±πŸ‡°
Result: Draw me a pretty picture! The match is tie.

There is no count back system here. Which is lucky because I cannot count...
and somehow I have a job as an accountant...
Nobody asks you questions when you say you’re an accountant. :whistle

The Match in a tweet: A thriller out of nowhere! Last ball they take the single! SCORES LEVEL! They turn for the second! CAN THEY? Can they?!! They cannot. Runout. Match drawn.

Man of the Match: Premalal Otali πŸ‡±πŸ‡°

Our best:
A real team effort today.
And by that I mean everyone was kinda mediocre today but a draws a draw. It’s definitely not a loss.
5 batsmen got going with scores over 20.
Bowlers probably leaked too many runs but none of that matters because the boys are buzzing because guess what?! They didn’t lose.

Tune in at 0900 tomorrow as we take on South Africa and look to have another non loss. Heck, let’s dream of a win.

One game to go. Looks like it's between Shareef and Mahmoud for player of the tour (not that anyone actually deserves recognition after this week).

In Quintens defence he rated 0 in Game 2 despite bowling 4 overs.

Which is actually kinda impressive. Good efforts balanced by bad efforts. Genuine equilibrium ⭕️

E. Mohammad (rf) 4-0-25-2, D. Kreusch 12 (7b), N. Samsodien 0 (1b)
End of over 20 (5 runs) - South Africa U20(115-8) RR 5.75

Good performance there! We did fit in the standard 3 drops at the end though  fortunately not too much damage done.

Should chase this but sometimes I find uneven plays like flat, sometimes like sticky

Our bowlers performed today, so it means our batters will let us down

They just couldn't be bothered trying to score runs quickly

Yeah that was a bit silly. I could accept if we got skittled by the pace bowlers or had 8 or 9 down but 5 is really frustrating.

I’m personally blaming BunkerBugs commentators curse for this loss.

Another day. Another dollar. Another day of thinking damn UAE might just do this. Another day of bitter disappointment.

Tour Match # 5
VS πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦
Result: πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦ win by 6 runs

The Match in a tweet: 6! 4! 4! Here we go! Nope nah never mind.

Man of the Match: Salaman Kardal πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ͺ

Salman Kardal - 3/27 off his 4 overs. Bowled exceptionally.

Yarden Shareef - 47 runs and a catch in the field.

Quinten Lynch - WOOHOO I never doubted the boy. 2/16 off his 4 overs. Maybe Lynchy managed to give the curse off to his Eagles teammate Jack Darling who failed to score a fantasy point.

A great bowling display today to restrict South Africa. Sadly just didn’t score at a quick enough rate. That’s how it be sometime.

That wraps up a T20 tour.
Was it a good one? No.
Did we win a game? Also no.
Did we denote? Most definitely!
Did we have fun along the way? Honestly unsure 😐
Will we do it all again next tour? ABSOLUTELY!

And speaking of next tour, you better believe it starts on Monday.

That’s right tune in as the Seniors take on a Div 2 one day tour. Games are at 1300 FTP time.
