But it’s over now. It’s time for you to go...

Sadly that wraps a tour week and not a great one for us - one win against the giants and four losses. We sadly fall back to Div 3 and will look to bounce back up ASAP.

Tour Match # 5
VS 🇱🇰
Result: :thumbsdown :thumbsdown :thumbsdown
🇱🇰 win by 46 runs

The Match in a tweet: Bat first on a dry. Make 250. Squeeze your opponents through the chase. Win the game. Simples.

Man of the Match: Salam Ibraheem 🇦🇪

Our best:
Salam Ibraheem - 2/33 off his 10 overs and 27 not out with the bat.

Fahd Hussein - 51 off 79 balls.

Malik Razzaq - 2/49 off his 10 overs and 20 with the bat.

Around the Grounds
🇦🇺 beat 🇿🇦 by 16 runs.
🇨🇦 beat 🇧🇲 by 40 runs.

Means Australia and Sri Lanka promote both with 4 wins.
South Africa (3 wins) and Canada (2 wins) both remain div 2.
Uae and Bermuda both drop to div 3 only managing one win each.

The upset win against the Australian giants our only celebration of this tour.

Apologies again for missing the first two matches and apologies to
EB that I made him look like a monster.

Time for a week off but make sure you tune in for the next senior t20 tour which is a div 3 tour and starts 12th April.

Trust in the process 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪

Cheers for the write ups again Moose, some of the only bright spots other than that upset of the Aussie Juggernaut.
Massive dent in our WC hopes this week :(

Disappointing week. Luck was against us when we needed it. We will continue improving our player base and use the next two tours to set up up for the next tenure.

Thanks Moose - entertaining as always :thumbsup

Nearly threw that away with some very poor fielding. Somehow Kareem got us over the line on debut.

Back once again! It’s just a matter of time.

I’m not gonna lie I have gotten so used to losing I read the scorecard as UAE lost by 4 runs and then had to go back and double check to realise that we actually won!

A WIN! A 4 run win.

Tour Match # 1
VS 🇵🇰
Result: :party :party :party :clap
🇦🇪 win by 4 runs

The Match in a tweet: That was too close for comfort, UAE really do have a way of making the game exciting right til the end. Wish for my poor little heart they’d win easy for a change.

Man of the Match: Shoaib Ul-Maula 🇵🇰

Our best:
Malik Razzaq - in his first international t20
A quick fire 23 with the bat, 2/22 off his 4 overs and a catch.

Salam Ibraheem - in his first international t20
2/31 off his 4 overs.

Yardeen Shareef
A solid 42 with the bat and then a stumping and a catch whilst keeping wicket.

Qasim Kareem - in his first international appearance
2/22 off his 4 overs. Kept his nerve at the death going for only
10 runs in his two overs at the death. Also snagged two wickets at the death to secure the game.

Around the grounds:
Kenya beat Bermuda by 6 wickets.
Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 2 wickets.

Tune in at 1530 tomorrow as we take on Bermuda.

Tour Match # 2
VS Bermuda 🇧🇲
Result: :party :party :party :hug :hug
🇦🇪 win by 6 runs

The Match in a tweet: UAE really like to keep everyone guessing. Was confident then I was sweating but they got the win none the less.

Man of the Match: Javon Camacho 🇧🇲

Our best:
Ubayd Sabur - in his international t20 debut
0/14 off his 4 overs and a catch.

Anwar Bishr - in his international t20 debut
3/23 off his 4 overs.

Gadil Murat - 47 runs for the Skipper.

Abbud Dhul - 2/27 off his 4 overs.

It’s good to see death misfielding and it not be us doing it. 16.4 Bermuda miss a runout then drop Sabur not once but twice in the 19th over. Meanwhile no dropped catches during our fielding innings.

This winning stuff sure feels good. A win tomorrow puts us in a really good spot to win promotion. 🤞🏻

Around the grounds:
Bangladesh and Kenya played out a draw.
Zimbabwe beat Pakistan by 9 wickets.

Tune in at 1530 tomorrow as we take on Bangladesh.

THERE IT IS.

The heartbreak we are used to.

3 balls left, Bangladesh need 2 runs, we need 2 wickets.

Wicket
[missed runout] they run the single to tie the game
Single to win it.

Tour Match # 3
VS 🇧🇩
Result: 💔
🇧🇩 win by 1 wicket

The Match in a tweet: [missed runout]

Man of the Match:
Asif Rafique 🇧🇩

Our Best:
Yousif Nu'man - 3/19 off his 4 overs including 2 wickets for 1 run off his last over in the seventeenth.

Malik Razzaq - 2/27 off his 4 overs and a catch.

Khayri Saleem - a quick fire 33 not out and had a day out with the gloves - stumping and 3 catches.

Qasim Kareem - 2/23 off his 4 overs and almost saved the day again.

Anwar Bishr - 2/33 off his 4 overs.

Around the Grounds:
Pakistan beat Bermuda by 9 runs.
Zimbabwe beat Kenya by 15 runs.

The dream remains alive with Friday’s game shaping up as crucial.

Tune in at 1530 tomorrow as we take on Kenya.

Yes lads!

What a beautiful chase - particularly by Murat. That 19 run over in the 18th over massive.

Brilliant partnership from our best bats, Murat and Shareef.

Promotion is in our hands against Zimbabwe tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Woohoo! Loving this winning thing!

Tour Match # 4
VS 🇰🇪
Result: :clap :whistle :hug :thumbsup
🇦🇪 win by 7 wickets

The Match in a tweet: No fingernails left but the established bat comes through in the death and get us the win to keep the promotion dream alive!

Man of the Match: Gadil Murat

Our best:
Gadil Murat - man of the moment. The lads call him “The Brick Layer” and I don’t understand the nickname but I love it. Building the house a brick at a time. His 67 seeing out the victory including a 19 run over that turned the chase on its head.

Malik Razzaq - 2/22 off his 4 overs and then hit the winning run!

Salam Ibraheem - 2/18 off his 4 overs. Our spinners have been great this week.

Yarden Shareef - 4 catches and a stumping for the skipper in an absolute keeping masterclass. Then followed up with a handy 25 runs.

Around the grounds:
Bangladesh beat Pakistan by 6 wickets.
Zimbabwe beat Bermuda by 7 wickets.

Moose’s Mathematical Method Madness:

Here’s the simplest equation.
Win tomorrow = promote.

Here’s the harder equation
Lose tomorrow = ??? 🤷‍♀️
If Bangladesh beat bottom placed Bermuda then it’s curtains.
If Bermuda snag an upset then we promote.

Let’s win and not take any chances.

Tune in at 1530 tomorrow as we take on the unbeaten Zimbabweans and hope to win promotion.
