In the mean time we practiced against Bermuda....
Batting first it was all a `Lamarshow` who scored 125 out of a total of 226 8)
Apart from Mozart(21) and de Jonge(21) the rest of the bats were too occupied with their phone apperently....

Bermuda lost 5 wickets before passing our total in over 46 :think
Van Oosterhout(3-40) showed some rseistance.

Today we`re playing NZ and it looks like another story :thumbsup
Hopefully giving other players a chance to shine will have some effect

Today we`re meeting SL in the last friendly before the tourweek....

Bowling first we restricted them to 147 on a crumbler :thumbsup
And chasing we are at 52v2 so it will interesting to see whether our bats can deliver the goods !

We just finished our first match in the tourweek.
Batting first we scored 247v8 mainly thanks to a fine partnership between Sneeboer(78) and vd Zanden(37) who lifted the score from 135v5 to 237v6 :thumbsup

Defending I thought we had a fair chance when we had Canada at 81v3 but their strong middleorder secured an easy win passing our total in over 46..
Tomorrow we`re meeting Bermuda....

Today we hustled a narrow win.... Sybren Van Oosterhout claiming a match winning 6-31 (his best ever haul for the NATS) with Kos getting 2 late wickets in the 44th over to seal a 5 run win. :clap

2 games down and we are one of 4 teams on 4 points. We play table leading England tomorrow who have won 2/2 so far.

Another MoM award for Sybren Van Oosterhout claiming another 3 wickets, and England are no longer unbeaten :clap

No time to celebrate though, 3 games down and we are one of 4 teams on 8 points. It's all to play for and we could still finish both first and last !

Pretty disappointing results this tourweek

It is allways a question (afterwards) what could have been done differently, but once it is a fact ....
We relegated from divison2 in the ODI.format.

The 4.rundefeat vs Australia meant we relegated instead of our opponents.
Sometimes the margin between succes and failure is minimal....

Fact is that our batsmen have pretty often produced a `no.show.methality`with the occasional exceptions.
So we`ll look for some more consistency while batting :whistle

And the friendly vs our windian friends was in interesting one....

Both sides tried a few new faces.
And in our case some of them showed their willingnes to be part of the set.up :thumbsup

Batting first we did have the usual start at 41v3 after 6 overs on hard, but then our newcomers Dees(63) and van Amsterdam(50) helped build a defendable total of 176v6 with Sierksma(23) tjipping in ....

Defending we had them under some pressure from the start(40v3 after 7) and we managed to bowl them all out for 123. :D
Mollema(3-24) and Vermeltfoort(4-20) being the main scalphunters.

Today we lost to Scotland in a (best described imo..) `ME has gone bonkers.match` :?

Sent in to bat we were bundled all out for 74 in 16 overs with 2 bats scoring 22 runs each :whistle
And the scots passed our total in over 16 for the loss of 8 wickets....

I hear the ICC is demanding a thorough report from the pitch.inspection.squad they are sending from Dubai 8)
Congrats Scotland !

Hmmm....

A pretty bad display today from us.
And I`am not talking about the 170 run.defeat

Through miscommunication we didn`t set orders for our friendly vs UAE and as a result we had some recognised bats trying to bowl the opponents out on a flat deck.

Apologies to the UAE and hopefully you`ll give us a chance to get rid of the shamefeelings :whistle

Yesterday we played Zim in a T20.friendly.
Batting first we made 186v5 on a flat deck with De Gans scoring 79*.

Chasing the Zim.boys fell 8 runs short with our bowlers each taking 1 wicket....

Before the WC we`ll have 2 more friendlies vs Ireland and Bermuda :thumbsup

Today we managed a nice win vs Ireland....

Sending them in their total stopped at 143v8 with vermeltfoort(4-20) being their biggest problem.
Van der Knaap(2-34) assisted nicely while van Hage and van Oosterhout took 1 wicket each.

Chasing opener de Gans(81) did a splendid job and with some support from Sierksma(16*) and van Hage(11*) we managed to pass their total 2 balls before the end :clap
