Tour heros:

Ralf van Poppel - 8 wickets in 3 games for the all-rounder. 68 runs too, including a critical 39 in the very low scoring game against the Canadians.

Alexander Holtbacher - 9 wickets in 3 games for the left arm quick, including 6 for 55 in the win over South Africa.

Emmanuel Dees - 137 runs in 4 innings (averaging 137 @ a strike rate of 116), typically batting in lower middle order, including 3 stellar not out innings.

Many other players had very steady tours and were close to making the top 3 (Boelen, Weijl, and others)

Tour Zeros:

Patrick Huizenga - Opened up 4 times managing a top score of 24.

Patrick Lipinski - 2 outings for the back-up keeper-batsman, scoring a total of 12 runs. We're going to miss Smits!

Just a bit of banter anyway - hoping to get the thread going!

Onwards to div 2 :party

Very happy with the tour the young Dutchies put up this week. After starting the tour 0-2 and the possibility of demotion, a change of tactics and some key changes made for an outstanding 3 wins to finish the tour (Including a couple of nail biters) but couldn't be happier to finish 2nd. Australia were by far the best side and congrats to them for a great tour.

Key Players

Sam Lloyd: 4 matches, 224 runs @112, 3 half centuries, 143 strike rate (Most runs for the division)
Jorrik van Beeck: 4 matches, 123 runs @41, 1 half century, 140 strike rate

Joris Weijl: 3 matches, 7 wickets, 2 3WI
Ramon Kreder 3 matches, 6 wickets, Best figures of 4/24

Cheers to all the managers who trained their players up to standard, there will be a few changes in the next tour due to age so keep an eye out for the red star possibly being next to your Dutch player :thumbsup
