Failed to set line up and I was all day in the hospital, causing significant disruption. Despite this setback, we dominated today's game and secured promotion to Division 2, finishing top of the table.

The Dutch U20 team is back in Division 2 for both formats. A narrow defeat before the tour prevented promotion to Division 1. The next goal is promotion in both formats to Division 1, and participation in next season's World Cup.

Netherlands U20 Secures Victory Over England U20
In an engaging contest, the Netherlands U20 team triumphed over England U20 by 38 runs, showcasing a blend of solid batting and disciplined bowling. The match took place with England winning the toss and opting to bowl first, a decision that initially seemed advantageous but ultimately set the stage for a competitive chase.
The Netherlands posted a respectable total of 282 runs for 7 wickets in 50 overs. Their innings was anchored by a remarkable performance from all-rounder Glenn Lindeman, who scored an impressive 88 off just 93 balls, featuring five fours and four sixes. His energy was complemented by contributions from H. Timmermans (26 runs, 17 balls), R. Hazelhoff (32), and an unbeaten 32 from K. Teunissen, with Elijah Price also chipping in with 22 runs not out to bolster the innings. The Dutch side showed resilience and adaptability, with key contributions down the order, and managed an overall run rate of 5.64.
England’s bowling attack, led by D. Mail and R. Bayley, tried to curb the Dutch innings but struggled with consistency. Mail took 2 wickets for 46 runs in his ten overs, while Bayley and others aimed to contain the scoring through diligent bowling. Despite the Netherlands’ strong total, England managed to restrict the opposition at crucial junctures, but not enough to prevent a sizable target.
Chasing 283 for victory, England faced a challenging ordeal against a disciplined Dutch bowling attack. England’s top scorer was J. Johnston with 51, but he was dismissed by K. Teunissen. The innings saw contributions from several players, including B. Penman with 65, B. Delves with 33, and T. Wiese (31), but the team fell short of the target, bowled out in 50 overs for 244 runs. The Dutch bowlers proved effective, with E. Price delivering the best figures—4 wickets for 49 runs from ten overs, and K. Teunissen also pocketed 2 wickets.
Key moments in the match included disciplined bowling from Dutch players like E. Price and S. van Muiswinkel, who slowed down the English scoring rate at critical moments. The fall of wickets at regular intervals hampered England’s ability to build sustained partnerships.
The man of the match was undoubtedly Dutch all-rounder Elijah Price for his impactful bowling and his crucial unbeaten 22 runs.

Pakistan U20 Secures Dominant Victory Over Netherlands
Pakistan Under-20 secured a commanding 105-run victory against Netherlands U20 in their recent match, showcasing a well-rounded team effort that left the Dutch side struggling to keep pace.
Pakistan’s young cricketers set the tone with a solid batting performance, scoring a competitive total of 243 runs before being bowled out in 50 overs. The innings got off to a steady start, with J. Nadeem contributing 23 runs off 19 balls and captain S. Maqsood adding 24 runs from 52 balls. S. Sharif chipped in with a brisk 41 from 74 balls, while H. Sarwar anchored the innings with a noteworthy 33 off 36 deliveries and I. Alam added a vital 46, striking at over 102 runs per 100 balls. R. Nizamuddin also contributed an important 28, ensuring Pakistan posted a total that challenged the Dutch bowlers.
The Pakistani bowlers executed a disciplined chase, dismissing the Netherlands U20 side for 138 runs in 40 overs. R. Nizamuddin was the star with the ball, claiming three wickets for 24 runs in his eight overs. Nizamuddin’s wickets, along with contributions from I. Alam (2 wickets) and L. Murad (1 wicket), kept the Dutch batting line-up under pressure. Despite a resilient unbeaten 18 from J. van Galen, the Dutch batsmen struggled to build substantial partnerships, with key wickets falling at crucial junctures.
Dutch captain J. Werkman threatened to turn the game with a resilient 66 off 90 balls, but fell just as the match slipped beyond their reach. Dutch openers and middle-order batsmen like Timmermans and Hazelhoff attempted to stabilize the innings, but Pakistan’s bowlers maintained a tight line and length throughout, evident from the economic bowling averages ranging between 3.00 to 4.00 runs per over.
The Man of the Match honors went to Adick van Winden, who claimed three wickets including key dismissals, and contributed significantly with the ball.
