A very bad display today in the friendly vs Pakistan.
Bowling first we allowed them to make a score of 278 :think

And chasing we were bowled out for 220 in les than 40 overs :whistle
Vd Zanden (3) and Kreder (4) took their wickets and Mijnke(42), van Amsterdam(51) and Bacon(45) scored their runs, but the rest looked very meagre.

After the excitement of the WC we are back to life in Div 2, where we need to up our game to make sure we qualify for the next WC. A few of the squad have moved on so we have some new boys in the squad and a couple of them are looking likely to tour. As always we'd welcome your support - if you have any rising stars that we've overlooked please shout - always happy to draft in quality players.

Today a comfortable win in the friendly vs UAE :thumbsup
The opponents were sent in and scored 228v9 on hard thanks mainly to Jabbar (98*).
Kusters (3-30) and Flens (2-33) were the pick of the bowlers.

Chasing we had a rather slow start (66v3 after 17 overs), but then the bats took the initiative and finally we passed their total in over 45 for the loss of 4 wickets....
Van Amsterdam(65), Mijnke (70*) and Sierksma (43*) showed the way :)

For those of you that haven't seen it I'd recommend checking out our recent friendly.....

It features a couple of notable NAT friendly records
- Record innings total in a NAT friendly
- Record high score by one of our lads (You'll have to look to find out who !)

and all in a competitive (match ratings wize) with nearly 800 runs scored.....

Today an easy victory over WI in a friendly played on FLAT....

Our opponents were sent in and bowled ao for 177 with Mollema(2), Kusters(3) and Kreder(3) taking the most victims.
Chasing we were never in doubt and with the first wicket falling at 98..Van Schier(43) we knew it would be an easy walk.

Van Eijsinga(96*) and van Nierop(26*) finished things off in over 33 :thumbsup

Don`t think we will have such an easy confrontation next week :whistle

You've got to love an OBB (or two) - especially when they are on your side !

Pretty annoyed with the results in the first 3 days

Only chance to avoid relegation is to win both remaining matches and hope the other results are going our way as well.
Apart from negative influence on our squadselection by the HUMID weather we need our bats to show a bit more consistency and grit 8)

Come on Lions ....

After a positive performance yeaterday it is do or die today :whistle

Playing WI on a dry track our (tired) bats and our spinners have a key.role in avoiding relegation....
