5th Nat twenty20 tour match against South Africa

Post by Abeeshake002 » Fri Aug 04, 2023 12:12 pm

In a disappointing turn of events, the Dutch cricket team concluded their 5-match tour with a series of defeats, as they were stunned by South Africa in their final match, losing by 38 runs. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat. A. Curry was the top scorer for South Africa with 58 runs off 43 balls, before being bowled by Keizer. A. Villiers, the captain of the South African team, contributed 36 runs off 23 balls, but was dismissed by Sikkema. P. Badenhorst also made a significant contribution with 39 runs off 28 balls. South Africa finished their innings with a total of 161 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs, resulting in a run rate of 8.05.

The Dutch bowling attack struggled to contain the South African batsmen. T. Cloke and V. Sikkema both took 2 wickets each, while B. Dale, J. Keizer, and T. Cooper each claimed 1 wicket. However, their efforts were not enough to prevent South Africa from posting a challenging total.

In response, the Dutch team faced an uphill battle. J. Helmantel scored 18 runs off 11 balls, but was eventually caught by Tsvanhu off the bowling of Badenhorst. R. Smits, the wicketkeeper, put up a fight with 33 runs off 30 balls, but was also dismissed by Badenhorst. V. Sikkema contributed 27 runs off 25 balls before being caught by Tsvanhu off the bowling of Yashin. Despite the efforts of T. Cooper, who remained not out with 18 runs off 20 balls, the Dutch team could only manage a total of 123 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, resulting in a run rate of 6.15.

The South African bowlers proved to be a formidable challenge for the Dutch batsmen. L. Yashin took 1 wicket, while K. Badenhorst claimed 2 wickets. However, it was Astra Zeneca who stole the show with an impressive bowling performance, taking 3 wickets for just 22 runs. Zeneca's outstanding performance earned him the well-deserved title of Man of the Match.

The Dutch cricket team faced a disappointing end to their tour, suffering defeat in all 5 matches. South Africa emerged victorious in the final match, winning by 38 runs. Despite the efforts of both teams, it was the South African bowlers who proved to be the difference-makers in the match. The Dutch team will need to regroup and analyze their performance in order to bounce back stronger in future matches.

Netherlands vs UAE friendly

Post by Abeeshake002 » Thu Aug 10, 2023 1:00 am

In a pulsating cricket match between the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the UAE emerged as the winners, securing a thrilling 4-wicket victory.
Winning the toss, the Netherlands elected to bat first, hoping to set a formidable target for their opponents. The opening duo of S. Vega and J. Ugle-Hagan got off to a decent start, cautiously building a partnership. However, the UAE's Fadil Jahid came into the spotlight, claiming the wickets of both batsmen. Vega displayed resilience, contributing 49 runs from 77 balls, including three boundaries and two sixes. Ugle-Hagan also made a noteworthy contribution of 18 runs.

The Netherlands faced intermittent setbacks as R. Ricch fell victim to Jahid's bowling, followed by A. Zwaferink's dismissal. R. Ruijgh played a pivotal role, scoring an impressive 46 runs from 50 deliveries, featuring five boundaries and a six. H. Rijntjes showcased his batting prowess, smashing a brisk half-century, scoring 53 runs off just 48 balls, including one boundary and two sixes. Despite some valiant efforts, the Netherlands managed to post a respectable total of 248 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 50 overs.

The UAE began their chase with determination, with opener H. Mohammed and skipper A. Capone taking the crease. However, the Dutch bowlers struck early, dismissing Capone for just 3 runs. Mohammed battled to score 27 runs before being caught by Ruijgh off the bowling of V. Sikkema.

The UAE's Y. Shareef rose to the occasion, displaying an exceptional batting performance. Shareef played a pivotal role, anchoring the innings with his brilliant knock of 91 runs from 112 balls. His innings included two boundaries and two sixes, helping stabilize the UAE's chase. G. Murat added a valuable 22 runs, further consolidating the UAE's position.

J. Fattah contributed significantly, scoring a quick-fire 45 runs from 45 balls, including four boundaries and one six. S. Kardal also chipped in with 17 runs to maintain momentum. As the game reached its climax, tensions rose, but the UAE's R. Ameen played a crucial role, remaining unbeaten on 26 runs. Ameen's innings included two boundaries and a six, eventually steering the UAE to victory.

The UAE sealed an enthralling victory in the 47th over, scoring 249 runs with 4 wickets in hand. The United Arab Emirates' triumph was attributed to an all-round effort from their team, with Fadil Jahid being the standout performer. Jahid's impressive bowling figures of 4 wickets for 52 runs played a crucial role in restricting the Netherlands' total.

The Man of the Match award was deservedly to Fadil Jahid for 4/52.

Post by Abeeshake002 » Sun Aug 13, 2023 10:50 am

In a thrilling cricket match between Netherlands and Canada, Canada emerged victorious, defeating Netherlands by 6 wickets.
Winning the toss, Netherlands captain M. Ten Dam elected to bat first. However, their decision quickly backfired as their top order struggled against the Canadian bowling attack. J. van der Laan fell early, being adjudged lbw to the impressive J. Ayala for just 2 runs. The Netherlands' woes continued as J. Ugle-Hagan and D. Lansing were dismissed for ducks by Ayala as well.

G. Goddard and R. Ricch attempted to stabilize the innings, but the Netherlands' batting lineup struggled to find momentum. Ricch showed some resistance with a well-constructed innings of 30 runs, including a boundary and a six. However, the Netherlands' batting collapse continued as wickets fell at regular intervals.

The Canadian bowlers, led by Ayala, were in fine form. Ayala claimed three crucial wickets, while S. Madison and H. Foster took two wickets each. B. Wilkins also made an impact, dismissing G. Goddard and B. Lubbers. The Netherlands were eventually bowled out for a paltry total of 102 runs in 32.3 overs, with extras contributing 14 runs.

Roberts contributed 23 runs before being caught by R. Smits off the bowling of B. Lubbers. N. Elder also made a valuable contribution with 14 runs before falling victim to Cloke. Despite losing a few wickets, Canada remained in control of the chase, with R. Warner hitting a quickfire 5 runs before being dismissed by Lubbers.

Netherlands vs England friendly - England Clinch Victory

Post by Abeeshake002 » Wed Aug 16, 2023 12:25 pm

In a thrilling encounter, England emerged victorious against the Netherlands, winning the match by 5 wickets. The Netherlands won the toss and elected to bat first, but their batting lineup struggled to find stability against a disciplined English bowling attack.

Vega provided some resistance for the Netherlands, scoring a well-constructed 57 runs off 83 balls. However, lacked support from his teammates as wickets tumbled at regular intervals. Maurangi and Holland were the pick of the English bowlers, claiming 3 wickets each. Holland's economical spell of 3 wickets for just 19 runs in 9 overs played a crucial role in restricting the Netherlands to a modest total of 153 runs in 43 overs.

In pursuit of the target, England got off to a solid start with opener Harper scoring a steady 30 runs. However, the Dutch bowlers struck back, dismissing Harper and Stoddart in quick succession. The English middle order faced some resistance from the Dutch bowlers, but they managed to keep the required run rate in check.

A crucial partnership between Furness and Fagg turned the tide in England's favor. Furness played a crucial unbeaten knock of 20 runs off 25 balls, while Fagg provided valuable support with 17 runs off 24 balls. Their partnership ensured that England reached the target with 8 overs to spare, securing a well-deserved victory.

The Dutch bowlers put up a commendable fight, with Dale being the standout performer, claiming 3 wickets for 31 runs in his 10 overs. However, their efforts were not enough to defend the modest total set by their batsmen.

Holland was awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant all-round performance, contributing with both bat and ball. His 3 wickets with the ball and a crucial knock of 24 runs played a pivotal role in England's victory.

Netherlands vs Zimbawe friendly-

Post by Abeeshake002 » Sat Aug 19, 2023 11:45 pm

In a thrilling encounter, the Netherlands emerged victorious by 3 wickets against Zimbabwe in a nail-biting contest.
Winning the toss, Zimbabwe elected to bat first, hoping to set a challenging target for the Netherlands. However, their innings got off to a disastrous start as opener J. Nye was bowled by T. Cloke for just 1 run off 4 balls. The early breakthrough put Zimbabwe on the back foot right from the beginning.

Hashim, Zimbabwe's star batsman, then took charge and played a brilliant innings of 76 runs off 105 balls, including 5 boundaries. He held the innings together and provided stability amidst the fall of wickets at regular intervals. Unfortunately, his efforts were not enough to propel Zimbabwe to a formidable total.

Zimbabwe's middle-order struggled to build partnerships, with most batsmen failing to convert their starts into substantial scores. The Netherlands bowlers, led by B. Lubbers and T. Cloke, put up a disciplined performance, picking up crucial wickets at crucial junctures. Lubbers finished with impressive figures of 3 wickets for 38 runs in his 10 overs, while Cloke contributed with 2 wickets for 35 runs in his 8 overs.

Zimbabwe managed to post a total of 169 runs in their allotted 43.5 overs, with a run rate of 3.86. The Netherlands bowlers maintained tight control over the Zimbabwean batsmen, restricting their scoring opportunities and never allowing them to build substantial partnerships.

Chasing a target of 170 runs, the Netherlands got off to a shaky start, losing opener G. Goddard early in the innings. However, J. Helmantel and I. Wagenaar steadied the ship with a crucial partnership of 95 runs for the second wicket. Helmantel contributed 33 runs, while Wagenaar top-scored with an impressive knock of 59 runs off 82 balls, including 4 boundaries and a six.

Zimbabwe fought back valiantly, picking up wickets at regular intervals to keep the match in the balance. But Tom Cooper, with a composed innings of 31 runs not out off 38 balls, held his nerve and guided the Netherlands towards victory. Cooper's innings included a boundary and a six, and his partnership with Wagenaar proved to be the turning point of the match.

Zimbabwe's bowlers put up a spirited performance, with K. Vyress leading the charge by taking 3 crucial wickets for 48 runs in his 10 overs. B. O'Problem, C. Lillie, T. Maraire, and S. Kadziche also chipped in with a wicket each, but their efforts were not enough to prevent the Netherlands from reaching the target.

In the end, the Netherlands achieved victory with 6 overs to spare, finishing on 173 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 43.4 overs.

Hashim D was awarded the Man of the Match for his crucial innings of 76 runs, which laid the foundation for Zimbabwe's total.

Kenya won the toss and elected to bowl first, a decision that proved fruitful as their bowlers immediately put pressure on the Netherlands' batsmen. The Netherlands got off to a shaky start, losing opener J. van Beeck early to a brilliant delivery from Andrew wa Kamamia. S. Vega followed soon after, falling victim to the accurate bowling of Mosi wa Irungu.

G. Goddard provided some resistance for the Netherlands, scoring a well-constructed 36 runs before being dismissed by E. Iqbal. However, the Netherlands struggled to build partnerships, losing wickets at regular intervals. H. Rijntjes top-scored with a gritty knock of 39, but the lack of substantial contributions from the rest of the batting lineup limited the Netherlands to a below-par total of 143 all out in 37.1 overs.

Kenya's bowling attack was exceptional, with Mosi wa Irungu and Andrew wa Kamamia being the standout performers. Wa Kamamia claimed three wickets, while wa Irungu wreaked havoc with four wickets to his name. Their accurate and disciplined bowling restricted the Netherlands' batsmen from scoring freely and building substantial partnerships.

Chasing a target of 144 runs, Kenya got off to a solid start with openers A. Mac Okumu and A. Fadhili forging a valuable partnership. Fadhili played a crucial role, scoring 34 runs before being dismissed by V. Sikkema. However, Mac Okumu held his nerve and anchored the innings with an unbeaten 67, displaying excellent shot selection and composure at the crease.

Despite losing T. Machage early to T. Cloke, Kenya's batsmen remained calm and composed, with E. Mac Obuya providing valuable support to Mac Okumu. Obuya contributed an unbeaten 30 runs, ensuring Kenya reached the target with 8 wickets and 109 balls to spare.

The victory gives Kenya a strong start to their campaign in the Nat One Day Division 3 tournament, while the Netherlands will be looking to bounce back in their upcoming matches. Both teams will be eager to make their mark and secure a promotion to higher divisions in the tournament.
