What a week for the Aussie seniors, after a couple of wins to kick off the week, 2 big losses made finals qualification look unlikely.

However all the stars were aligned and a big win against West Indies saw us sneak into the mix.

Some strong bowling performances saw us win the cup after beating SA in the semis and NZ in the final.

When we were originally elected as Aussies managers our goal was to take the team from the bottom of the rankings up where they belonged with the long term goal of One day World Cup qualification. Which we not only achieved but managed to win.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the tireless efforts of crowfan and my assistants throughout. A huge thanks to Grizzle who has been along for the ride from day 1 and birdmandipper who did so much to get us into a position to qualify for the tournament. More recently James018 who’s contribution during the week was amazing and also chezza who helped us get off the ground at the start after a rough first season.

Thanks to all the Aussie managers who support us and lend us their players. Apologies to guys like eternal and worm who have seen their first choice teams heavily depleted during touring weeks over the past 5 seasons.

Amazing feeling, thanks for all your support and sorry for the essay!! :clap :party

Hi all,

Thanks for re-electing us for another term with the seniors team.

We thought now was a good time to discuss minimum player standards for those actively looking to get players involved in the National setup (and being selected in squads).

Batsmen:
Exceptional batting & technique
Spectacular fielding
Spectacular power

Keepers:
Exceptional batting, keeping and technique
Outstanding fielding
Spectacular power

Allrounders:
Expert batting
Exceptional bowling & technique
Outstanding fielding
Spectacular power (for seamers - reasonable for spinners)

Seam Bowlers:
Exceptional bowling & technique
Spectacular fielding
Spectacular power

Spin bowlers:
Exceptional bowling & technique
Spectacular fielding
Reasonable power

We will however use the player search function for players with lower secondaries but will only ever select exceptional primaries & tech standards.

If you have someone you would like reviewed please suggest to us here or want any advice on up and coming national hopefuls.

Thanks again all

Yep I would, higher primaries would have him in contention but there’s a couple of decent FPS floating around sat that age.

Only a handful at WC/WC though

He’s pretty handy just needs bit of exp too
