I'd like to say I hope you get better opposition next Friday, although given that I'm getting smashed, you might not

I think Topmen might be a fair amount better than my side so you're bound to do a lot better. I suspect it'll be you who are doing the smashing next week.

Also I was hoping to have a little mini run in the cup (although I don't think I can rate much higher than 220k) but if I make it to round 3 I might struggle against my opponent!

258k rating, simply can't get close to that, especially bowling first on a sticky!
I'm still debating what to do for the cup, I need to try and get T20 back into D1 but with an old squad the cup may just get in the way.

Went for a swim at the gum so didn't get to watch the whole game, so it was a nice surprise to see we had sneaked a victory by just one run.

Probably best for my blood pressure that I hadn't seen it live...

Monsieurflibble's men got a great result this time last week so it's should be a tough match.

We've been made to bat first in difficult batting conditions.

S. Hawks (lfs) 2-0-7-0, R. Norris 22 (23b), A. Evans 19 (25b)
End of over 8 (6 runs) - Ruff Royals(42-0) RR 5.25

After about 3 seasons of rubbish batting it looks like I've found Evans' ideal batting position.

Like the new youth age system but we are about to drop off a cliff with promotions, our top order batting will resemble jelly and certainly YOD 1.1 will be a struggle. Sticky is a toss of a coin today, depends if you get Whiteside and McLarty early.

Unfortunately after a fantastic start their bowlers have put the breaks on, still a decent score so far in the conditions.

I've lost my best bat this week and will lose arguably my best spinner next but after that it's a few weeks where we'll be pretty stable.

As can be the case on a sticky pitch, things have gone very badly very quickly. Clarke is still in so anything is possible.

A decent bash at the end and then its runs on the board though. 120 will be tricky and the fat lady can start singing if we are 2 for 2 after 1.

It's looking like it could be an interesting end. The RRR isn't impossible but it's also defendable on a sticky pitch.

Lost again due to No Balls, second game on the run we've lost because of this. Need to put a stop to them if we are to avoid relegation.
