E. Peden (rf) 2-0-7-4, S. Dowsing 4 (6b), T. Sa'u 1 (1b)
End of over 3 (4 runs) - Castle Rock CC(14-4). 313 runs required from 47 overs. RR 4.67 RRR 6.66
Even better, one of our few division one standard players in our team wreaking havoc.

End of over 15 (6 runs) - Ruff Royals(44-4). 148 runs required from 35 overs. RR 2.93 RRR 4.23
We've only got a chance if the pitch turns into a flat pitch and these two stay in until we have a least 180 runs on the board. I'll sort of trust the rest to scramble 12 runs from somewhere.

End of over 21 (2 runs) - Ruff Royals(59-6). 133 runs required from 29 overs. RR 2.81 RRR 4.59
Oh well, it was not to be. I'm not sure I even thought we had a chance when we came back into the game to bowl them out for 191. This means Topmen get the title and I win the final relegation spot.
I didn't think I had any chance of staying up at the start of the season but if I had thrown the MKMC then I might have managed to stay up.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
Topmen won by 104 runs.
Ruff Royals Topmen
Batting - Top Order 13,548 14,604
Batting - Middle Order 10,933 13,841
Batting - Tail 4,571 8,705
Bowling - Seam 12,950 (30) 14,136 (30)
Bowling - Spin 12,839 (20) 12,865 (20)
Fielding/Keeping 16,961 16,452
Overall 227,052 257,391
The positive from the game is that Moses took 4-38 and is only due to turn 23 next week so I'd like to think I'll be getting many more wickets from him.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
congrats
nothing mid-table game for us today, and probably too big a NRR to catch up on for it to make a difference, but still a pleasing way to end the season

Batting - Top Order 13,070 11,257

Bowling - Spin 13,304 (10) 11,761 (10)
Fielding/Keeping 15,810 15,113
Overall 225,095 212,447
result: won by 81 runs. A solid batting effort, and then my best bowler this season with another 5 wicket haul, taking him to 29 SOD wickets for the season. royally screwed it in T20 this season and will be in Div 4 next season
but overall I'm quite confident about the future. not expecting a promotion push next season, but possibly the season after when some of the youngsters have got that bit more experienced.

Congratulations!

Also congratulations to Topmen for getting the title.
If we had won it wouldn't have saved us from relegation which somehow makes me feel better about not winning today. Dave would have preferred me to have won though as he'd have won the title. (Edit: I presume I wasn't that close to helping out with NRR either).

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
I needed to score about 800 runs so was some way short.... I think you had more chance of beating Topmen!
Congratulations to Topmen for winning the title once more
