Re: England League and Cup Discussion
Ten Dam's clearly eager to show what he can do as he's missed out on games recently due to conditions. It was a crucial toss to win, I reckon.wolfberries wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 12:20 pmA. Ten Dam (rfm) 2-1-3-2, E. McCosker 1 (1b), L. Coombes 2 (12b)

Your top 4 chances look slim now but it looks like you'll be safe from relegation.

Thanks!
Whilst I was looking for promotion I wasn't completely convinced it would happen with a number of good sides around. I'm expecting a relegation battle next season although if I pick a few more youngsters, who are looking like they'll need gametime soon, then I'm not sure it'll be much of a battle.

Ruff Royals won by 153 runs.
Winning the toss and doing a decent job of batting meant that the result was very exaggerated. Best hit an excellent 104 not out and Ten Dam was the best of the bowlers with 4-18.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
Your top order and bowlers were just too good for us, only thing we could compete in was the spin department. This was always going to be our problem this season with just not enough quality. Even though our ratings weren't that much different overall, your quality just blew us away which was no surprise.spark wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 4:03 pmwolfberries Ruff Royals

Good luck next season and your team certainly looks like it should be able to compete in division one.

The bowling wasn't brilliant but we restricted them to 142-6. The batsmen smashed it though with Mills hitting 84 not out from 44 balls.

I need an unlikely victory or I need Relegation reprobates to win to secure my place in the division for next season.
We won the toss and decided to bowl first.
It felt like all their batsmen were on attacking and that 3 of them succeeded which was enough to set a very challenging target of 187 to win. Ten Dam did okay with 3-35 but the best economy was 8.5 an over which is terrible.
R. Lukaku (lfs) 2-0-18-0, C. Paton 19 (16b), T. Brown 34 (28b)
End of over 10 (9 runs) - Ruff Royals(73-3). 114 runs required from 10 overs. RR 7.30 RRR 11.40
We need a miracle to come back from here so all eyes are on the Pedagogs Relegation reprobates match where Relegation reprobates are just about okay with the RRR on a hard pitch but are losing wickets:
R. Sheridan (rfs) 1-0-4-2, A. Bettington 52 (32b), R. Whitesides 0 (2b)
End of over 10 (4 runs) - Relegation reprobates(75-4). 88 runs required from 10 overs. RR 7.50 RRR 8.80
It's looking like I'll need to beat Pedagogs on the last day of the T20 season to stay up.
