Hello all again.

My last appearance here was sometime around Sep 2013.

How is everyone?

Thanks everyone.

Crowfan, great memory, I had to change my team name, after losing all my bonsai's in cyclone Yasi in 2011.

Yeah, spent 11 years in Tully/Feluga/Murray upper. Was in Feluga when Yasi destroyed our house. We were in it, so it was a fun night.

What's changed in the game?

Well if you didn't know Ash passed away almost 2 years ago
I was lucky enough to take over and make a complete mess of it lol

PC is now MKMC Matt Krevs Memorial Cup and has bots in it to fill to 2048 so al human teams can play
Youth T20 are now on Mondays
Players age by weeks so start at 16 and 0 weeks as YR, no 17yo
Youths promote at 21 now even mid season
Senior trng on Wednesday, youths still on monday
Form just changed to being based on Fantasy points instead of random
Min wage spend of 30k on sen and 15k on yths but only applies after 100 days to new teams
If you are not a member you can't nominate the country for YR, it is random to help the smaller nations

There may be more but thats what I could think of Since we took over at the start of Ssn 42

Crikey - not sure if I'm misremembering but I recall you posting messages early on during that night = we were playing in Cricket Championship I think (I may have gone under the monicker of MrSpadge back then). I left FTP a few years back but rejoined - lost interest when Ash passed but have been getting back into the saddle these last two or three seasons.

But hey, welcome back!

I actually read about the passing of Ash. Was terribly saddened to see someone so passionate about creating a substitute for cricket so die hard cricket fans could get an out of season cricket fix. I read it in here a few months ago.

I used to play FTP in the class room when we were doing experimental probability. I'd go through a commentary and get them to do the stats. Number of dot balls etc. Then get them to predict the next ball. Was fun, got to play FTP in the class room.

One of my students who also plays CC was talking about his CC game to me on face book and saying he'd like the players to have more attributes they could train. So I mentioned FTP to them. And thought I'd reconnect. Going to be slow going climbing back up.
