Tour Squad Announcement - Nat One Day Division 3
It’s a new season and it starts with a new manager as bura has bowed out enabling Philly to step up to the plate. However, some critics would say stepping up to the plate should be reserved for baseball and not cricket. These critics have largely been silenced by a very friendly set of friendly results so the team go into their trip across the border to Canada with sky high confidence.
Eight players will be making their competitive debuts for the USA. Unusually, the most common name in the squad is Marion with Berg and Cochran both sporting the name. Batsman Angel Terry and seamer Marion Berg look likely to be given the responsibility to captain the side.
Philly has already shown himself to be a winner by winning the hosting rights. Hard, slow and dry are the choices so let’s hope it’s hard luck to our opponents as their slow wits result in us drinking the bar dry as we celebrate promotion to division 2!
Batsmen
Everett Harrison (The Bengals)
Ulysses De La Cruz II (Snickets II CC)
Lewis Avila (Ruff Royals)
Angel Terry (Northern Blizzards)
Sidney Vance (Philly All Blacks)
Richard Weber (Caribbean Pirates)
Enrique Carter (Mighty Tigers 2nd XI)
Keepers
Alfredo Bowers (Ruff Royals)
Ronald Burton (Philly_Bluenose)
Bowlers
Brain Coleman (Groundboys)
Clinton Gallegos (The Bengals)
Tyler Garrett (Paul’s Spurs)
Marion Berg (Hamilton Ticats)
Tony Pace (Caterham Crusaders)
Joshua Brennan (kuranui)
Marion Cochran (Beiram’s 11)
Adam Nixon (Relegation Reprobates)
Spencer Delgado (Flaming Moles)
Pitches
Slow v Pakistan
Dry v Canada
Slow v Scotland
Dry v South Africa
Dry v Bermuda
Our matches start at 00:00 FTP time on 22nd March 2021. Please feel free to support us by following and commenting on the USA matches.

A reminder that John Wayne's actual name was Marion, and I'm expecting the USA squad to show True Grit on Tour.
Sadly, our Northern Neighbors haven't complied with our pitch request. Perhaps it's difficult to prepare a Hard wicket when it's always snowing and raining?

I knew the John Wayne bit of trivia and now wish I had thought to connect it with True Grit and the USA team.Philly wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 4:16 pmA reminder that John Wayne's actual name was Marion, and I'm expecting the USA squad to show True Grit on Tour.

Surely, if it's snowing the pitch would be hard due to being frozen (although I guess they've got covers to stop that from happening)?

Tour Squad Announcement - Nat Twenty20 Division 1
Last season’s Nat Twenty20 division 1 champions (that’s us!) are off to the Netherlands. It’s a long trip from the USA to play the short format of the game; let’s make the most of it! By that, I don’t mean for us to partake in the things for which the Netherlands are famous. Obviously I’m talking about things such as bike riding, museums, and liquorice consumption.
We’ll be trying to win as many matches as we can whilst handing some debuts to up-and-coming players who may get a chance in the next T20 World Cup. Keeper Martina Martinez is the youngest of the debutants at the age of 25. Other first timers include: Baker Mayfield, who will attempt to accumulate some runs; Landon Jackson, whose left-arm pace will surely cause problems for our opponent’s batsmen; and Wayne Ashley, who will be keen to show everyone that he’s can fulfil his prodigious talent.
Batsmen
Everett Harrison (The Bengals)
Ulysses De La Cruz II (Snickets II CC)
Lewis Avila (Ruff Royals)
Angel Terry (Northern Blizzards)
Wayne Ashley (Lincolnshire ccc)
Virgil Griffith (Barnsley St. Peter’s)
Baker Mayfield (Nepali Gaints)
Keepers
Martina Martinez (Aaa Firangi Aaa)
Ronald Burton (Philly_Bluenose)
Bowlers
Brain Coleman (Groundboys)
Landon Jackson (Marvellous XI)
Clinton Gallegos (The Bengals)
Tyler Garrett (Paul’s Spurs)
Marion Berg (Hamilton Ticats)
Tony Pace (Caterham Crusaders)
Adam Nixon (Relegation Reprobates)
Spencer Delgado (Flaming Moles)
Adam Glenn (Spooning leads to Forking)
Pitches
Uneven v New Zealand
Dry v Bermuda
Uneven v West Indies
Uneven v Netherlands
Hard v England
Our matches start at 12:00 midday time on 12th April 2021. We appreciate any support you may wish to give us through following and commenting on USA matches.

Tour Squad Announcement - Nat One Day Division 3
After a disappointing Twenty20 tour, the USA are determined to improve and try to grab that long awaited promotion to division 2. Bermuda won the hosting rights and have gone for a spin friendly selection of pitches whilst deciding that it would be nice to visit Pakistan. Let’s hope they’re too busy viewing the ancient city at Mohenjo-daro or the Deosai National Park to concentrate on the cricket.
USA fans will surely be looking forward to the debuts of young allrounder Roberts and spinner Dyer (watch our for his doosra)! And could it be the final chance to see veterans Bowers and Gallegos in the red, white, and blue of America or will they demonstrate once again the value of taking some old heads into crucial competitions?

It looks like the weather will be quite humid for the first matches, so we'll need 100% concentration on a crumbling wicket.

The weather's humid for all matches at the moment although I imagine that's going to change at some point.

A good start to the tour with a win against Bermuda. We were 10k behind in the ratings but a good team effort saw us come away with all 4 points.

Sadly a narrow defeat, as our bowlers just failed to take the last couple of wickets after our batsmen failed to set a demanding target.

Our batters only just made 160 in a dry/humid conditions which wasn't enough to give our bowlers a chance. South Africa chased the total down with a touch more than 10 overs to spare and 5 wickets.
We need to finish the tour strongly. Scotland up next.

Re: NT Team Thread
Once again, a frustrating end to the tour. A win might have seen us promote (I haven't done the NRR calculations) but despite Coleman's three early strikes, we ended up chasing too many.
Now it's time to start preparation for the end of season T20 World Cup.
