I'm playing bottom side ShrimperZone CC in a match everyone is surely expecting me to win. Thankfully, I should be soon confirming the win although the last couple of wickets appear to be taking a while to fall.

We batted first and started with a 189 partnership with Bullock getting out shortly after getting his ton (102). His opening partner also got a ton and was out for 125. We ended up getting a formidable 294-4.

We got regular wickets and they are currently:

T. Zondeki (rf) 7-0-18-1, S. Talukhdar 9 (23b), A. Puri 21 (35b)
End of over 29 (3 runs) - ShrimperZone CC(104-8). 191 runs required from 11 overs. RR 3.59 RRR 17.36

C. Moses (rws) 8-0-37-1, V. Guaita 48 (68b), W. Burrows 2 (7b)
End of over 31 (3 runs) - South London's Number One CC(121-5) RR 3.90

Not too bad so far on a dry pitch. How well Guaita does from here is going to be crucial.

Guaita is making it very difficult for us. He was dropped on 81 too so that's not going to help. I can only hope that he's going to be too tired to take any catches when he keeps.

End of over 49 (3 runs) - South London's Number One CC(192-10) RR 3.92

Finally got him out but he got a ton and helped them to a challenging total.

At home to the bottom side, but haven't bowled/fielded well. Looks a good score for them on a cloudy/slow wicket.

G. Breese (rm) 10-0-68-3, M. Myers 23 (14b), H. Thomas 3 (6b)
End of over 50 (11 runs) - bluekipper8878(231-8) RR 4.62

about time our WC bat actually got some runs  think with your strong middle order you should win this fairly comfortably, but you never know!

My strong middle order were effectively taken out in 3 consecutive balls last week so I always doubt their ability to save me!

A. Johnson (rfm) 4-1-8-0, B. Issa 6 (13b), S. Whitehead 29 (80b)

We're just about hanging in there. Still very interesting.

Overall 236,341 239,175

Ruff Royals won by 6 wickets

That win pretty much sees us safe from relegation. Very happy with that in a tough game.

4 wickets for Roberson were handy and 4 of the 6 batters that had a go did well. McCall got 39, Whitehead 42, Issa 49 not out, and Paton got a score for the first time in what seems like a while with 44 not out from 34 balls.

I thought we were going to do it when we needed 14 from the last 2 overs with 6 wickets remaining and even with 8 needed from the last over. Sadly, it was not to be.

We had 2 players away on international duty (technically 3 but one of those just turned 21 and has never actually played for my youth team due to being a recent purchase) and they had 3 players away but still rated very highly.

We're 6 points clear of relegation but still need a win (or others to lose) and we face the 2 teams at the bottom who are both on 12 points. I'd be disappointed if we didn't stay up now.

Much needed win, that puts us just above the relegation spots.
