I can't seem to get Schneider to take any wickets or keep things tight so I going to have to rethink what I do with him. Roberson was also expensive although that's slightly more understandable considering the pitch doesn't suit him.

Now to fail miserably with the run chase and probably drop into the relegation zone.

Snakey's Kent Stars won by 16 runs

A decent effort with the bat albeit mostly from the allrounders. Clarke did get 56 and House 34 with Hodges getting 34 and Schneider 31. We let them get too many and we need to find a way of getting Schneider and Roberson to bowl better in these conditions.

Perhaps I need to play an rfm as their's took 8-48!

won the toss on cloudy/uneven and had a bat. Zaha was the star man with 78 (77),but there were useful contributions from Ebiowei, Dann, Whitworth and Kouyate to get us up to an impressive 269/4 in our 50. In reply opps never looked like getting close, Hill-Smith with 81 (94) getting them to a respectable 174/10, but still giving us a 95 run win. This win somehow moves us up to 2nd, but with only 3 points seperating 2nd - 7th it's going to be a dog fight in the second half of the season. I'm hopeful we have enough to stay up, but anything beyond that would just be a bonus.

Playing bottom today but they are certainly capable of beating us, and then we wouldn't be far from the relegation zone. Only 8 points between 2nd place and bottom.

It was a very close game on a crumbling pitch and we only just won with a ball to spare. It was a good bowling performance to restrict them to 111 but the batting didn't start well. It was only when Schwartz and Bennett got together that we took a bit of control with the bat. Schwartz got out for 39 and allrounder Bennett got 46 not out.

We're still 4 points clear at the top with a top of the table clash next week against Danger Hotspurs. Sadly, we might struggle with that one as our keeper will be away on international duty and I don't think they've got any away although they do lose a batter who turns 21.
