The tour win does come with a bit of sadness.
It will be the last time the U20 Nats side see the following players:
Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum (Buggles United)
Akram Jubair (Durhams)
Khayri Rauf (The WaddiWallas)
Jubair and Rauf both played 3 YOD Nat Games - all last week.
Jubair scored 102 runs across 3 innings including a 54 against England.
Rauf can claim to have only played in winning Nat games (3/3 all wins).
Sheikh. My favourite least favourite player.
12 Nat Appearances - 5 YOD and 7 T20 - 2 YOD Div 1 Titles
Also toured in a T20 Div 1 Tour and a World Cup throughout his tenure.
8 wickets in 5 YOD matches but 3/26 on Monday against the Aussies and an unbeaten critical 21 runs that arguably won us the match.
A frustrating player to manage because we always felt he didn't live up to his potential. We saw glimpses. He threatened to really blow games apart and Monday/Tuesday this week was arguably our reward for remaining patient.
A big thanks to all managers who produce and train UAE players. We can't do any of it without you.
Onto the next. Div 2 T20 Tour of Bangladesh, pitches Slow, Dry, Flat in that preference. Matches daily at 0200.
