Great idea to have a tournament all on one pitch type - really helps you get in the groove.
These updates are great but now I'm starting to second guess myself - do I still bat first after that comment about Cheppu's chase ability :think

Turns out it was a great tip from Mc, I bowled first to avoid that chase ability and won comfortably.
I owe you one, sir :party

Wolfpack won his semifinal too and the mindgames for the final have already begun!

And wow we are down to the final, 126 teams are now wallowing in shameful defeat, while these 2 teams are facing off to see who will become the 3rd gym leader in our series.

Wolfpack, literally 5 wolves merged together, 1 wolf for each leg, a wolfy torso and head, and 2 wolf arms, hidden under a giant trenchcoat to hide their monstrosity, together managing a cricket team.

Vs

Amsterdammer
There's only 1 thing I really know about Amsterdam, I don't need to say it because every red blooded male knows exactly what I'm talking about...
And that of course is the Anne Frank museum.

PaulC, a quiet, nerdy world war 2 expert who definitely wears glasses and a backpack to work, vs literally a mutated ball of wolves

Amsterdammer have for the 2nd week in a row kept their opponent under 100 runs, they are running a 2xF, 2xWS and 1xFS bowling lineup. That is an extremely aggressive attack, Dishkyomm has played a more balanced team this week with 1xWS, 2xFS, 1xFM and 1xM against Powerbug.

Amsterdam's main strength this competition has been their aggressive bowling, whereas for Dishkyomm their strongest area has been more in their batting.

We will find out next week which will prevail when our Gym Leader will be crowned.

Get ready to spam the winner with challenges everybody as we are about to have our 3rd gym leader!

If you can't wait that long, we are at the halfway mark of Wool's Wanderers reign as gym leader. Don't forget to challenge him for a chance to win his badge before it's too late!
Try your luck against Dingo Town with the youths for a chance to win the Cascade Badge.

The 4th competition in our series will be starting in 2 weeks, and registrations will open soon for our 5th badge, the Soul Badge, which will be a SOD match on a sticky pitch, so watch this space!

Enjoy the rest of your week, and happy Badge hunting!

Congratulations to everyone who made it past the first round of the cup. Both my teams got eliminated round 1 so I'm wallowing in sadness but it shows what a strong competition this will be!

We've got 9 teams who rated 130k+ and 19 of the top 20 rated teams all made it past round 1 so none of them played against each other which is quite rare.

I only had to overturn a couple games this competition which is good, but if that was you and it was in error please message me and let me know.

We are also graced with royalty as the current Cerulean City Gym Leader has decided to join us. Dingo Town wants to win 2 competitions, he's the highest rated team in this competition but surely someone can stop him in this competition!
But if you want to win the Cascade Badge you'll have to beat him in a YOD on uneven/overcast. Send him a challenge and get your name on the leaderboard.

If you want to have a shot at either of the 2 other badges you'll need a good senior team, but it's free to give it a try so you've got nothing to lose!

Beat the Wool's Wanderers on SOD cloudy/hard to win the Cascade Badge

Beat Amsterdammer in T20 on windy/crumbling to get the Thunder Badge

Congratulations to Wolfpack who won the Boulder Badge yesterday, the first person to win them all will get 3 years membership!

Good luck everyone in round 2!

I cannot believe that we are up to round 4 already!

This competition has gone so quickly, but for some it is only just heating up.

Huge games coming up in round 4
Collywobblers vs Dingo Town will be a huge one, someone's gotta stop Dingo from winning 2 competitions, maybe Collywobbles is up for the task we will see.
Villanine and Staindrop Rockets will also be a big one

While some other big teams are still in it:
Mohammad XI
Budgewoi Bulldogs (a fellow Central Coastie)
And Adani Ports are all looking strong

But anybody still in it has shown their worth and has a chance at being leader.

Don't forget everyone entering this youth competition should challenge Dingo Town to try to win his Cascade Badge, and remember there is only a few weeks left to challenge Wool's Wanderers for a chance at the Boulder Badge!

Huge Congratulations to Jared's XI for winning the Boulder Badge this week
And special note to Vermillion City Gym Leader Amsterdammer who defended the Thunder Badge against 276k Me & my buddies on Wednesday.
Also registrations are open for the Fuschia City Gym challenge, which will be a SOD match on sticky/sunny conditions.

Good luck to the remaining entrants!

We are up to the final week of the competition, I don't know about anyone else, but it feels like this tournament has flown through, and I can't believe it's almost over already.

We are down to just 2 competitors now.

DEVI - Stunning Stars.
The stunning Stars are actually a modelling agency that uses cricket to help keep their models in shape. DEVI is a male model, dark brown hair and gorgeous eyes. To be able to play for the Stars you have to be at least 6ft tall and ridiculously good looking.

RJman - Adani Ports.
RJman is an evil mining magnate, a multi-billionaire who came to the tournament fresh from destroying an indigenous sacred site. He's got all the power in the world and is now looking to extend his influence to the Pokemon world.

It's going to be a showdown of the ages, the male model, sneaking time in between his instagram posts and tik toks to play cricket. And the evil power hungry mining magnate who's not afraid to play dirty to win.

The winner of this showdown will become the gym leader, and anybody who is able to beat them in a YT20 in green/humid conditions will win their very own rainbow Badge.

There can only be 1 winner, who will it be?

Don't forget to challenge our 3 other gym leaders to try to win their badges!
Wools Wanderers only has 1 weeks left, time is running out for the Boulder Badge! SOD Cloudy/Hard

Dingo Town YOD Overcast/Uneven
Amsterdammer T20 Windy/Crumbling

Good luck to our final 2 players and thanks everyone for following along!

Welcome everyone to the 5th edition to the Pokemon Challenge!

Koga, the Fushia City Leader was assassinated to death, and now we need someone to take his place as leader. The winner of this competition will become the gym leader, this means that for 1 season after the grand final, anyone who is able to beat the winning team in an SOD in sunny/sticky will win the Soul Badge and have their name up on the leaderboard for a chance at winning 3 years membership!

Our matches will be playing on a sticky pitch to best represent the poison type Pokemon.

But first some house keeping, remember that to be eligible to play in this competition you must make 1 Zimbabwean youth recruit on the week of Rd 1. Rd1 is this week so you must make a Zimbabwean youth recruit this week
If.you are not an FTP member then this rule is not for you, enjoy the tournament you freeloader :D

There's no seeding so anything can happen in round 1 and there are some big matches right from the start.
Dingo Town vs Bancroft
Ducks Squad vs Wolfpack
Villanine vs Telangana

There are some huge teams in the competition as well so there is plenty of excitement to be had.

Congratulations to Amsterdammer for winning the Boulder Badge this week, and to the Krack'd for winning the Cascade Badge.

Don't forget to challenge any of our gym leaders to win their badge
Wool's Wanderers SOD Hard/Cloudy
Dingo Town YOD Uneven/Overcast
Amsterdammer T20 Windy/Crumbling
Stunning Stars YT20 Humid/Green

Best of luck for this competition, have fun!
