I live in a private student block of flats.
Approx 20 students in building of which 7 play this game . We tend to use the Free computers provided so all have same I.P.

Robin who runs the building provided (and updates ) Admin of all players registered here.We were all warned by Robin of cheating violations and not to be tolerated.
All has been going well until Robin (of all people) went and broke the rules. Having been playing for over 14 yrs he has mentored many players and was doing so approx 1 yr ago . and stupidly broke the rules. The player he was mentoring gave him his log in . to look over his squad.> Robin logged into his team twice and advised the player accordingly.
Admin picked up on this as it appeared that this player (from Africa) had loged in from our building. .

Admin immediately added this player to our group in order to prevent any cheating (trannsf.deals).

There was alot of cheating going on back in the day with players setting up false accounts , and then buying their own players with INFLATED prices.
So to combat that Admin grouped CHEATS together so they could not buy/sell players.

So Admin now brands all of us as cheats .
Robin explains to admin what he has done was wrong >not to seek any advantage but trying to mentor another player .

But To no avail Admin decide we are cheats and imposed. as if we want to do transf. with some random player I live in a private student block of flats.

Absolute nuts 6 of us have never heard of him and Robin only knows him through mentoring. Added to this he lives 4.600 miles away in another country .
Robin persevered with GM-crowfan65 . many times but just came up against a BRICK WALL .
In the end Robin decided the only way to resolve this was to quit the game as he was the guilty person .
So he left with much regret after 14 yrs , in disgrace and regret .

I have now been trying to discuss with GM-crowfan65 . to have this CHEAT stigma branded on us removed but to no avail .

To me this is absurd way of dealing with cheats . 1 or both clubs should be fined .1 or both clubs should be removed .
Leaving the clubs in place and simply imposing a transf. block is nuts when they have both benefited from cheating.

Now got this message from GM-crowfan65 >.Not yours or others decisions > Not discussing this any further..

So no longer allowed to discus it with him .

All we ask is for this player to be removed from our group , he does not live here and those remaining do not know him .

We have said many times no-one is calling you or the others cheats, it is the rule so people can't cheat.

along the lines of people sharing an ip address cannot transfer players w each other, and admin must be informed if two players decide to share an ip address.

just read all of this and am somewhat sad for Robin in all of this as he is a nice old guy 78 next week and been good to us students .
Introduced me to the game a couple of months ago even paid for my 1st membership.
Some days he is quite sharp . like a 60 yr old ....LOl other days a bit dozy . probably one of those days when he broke the rules.?

anyway I digress.
He did explain what had happened and unfortunately we had all been blocked from transfers with the guy from Africa.
really no big deal as it appears, but we now are all branded as cheats . when nobody has actually cheated .
Somewhat a strange way of doing things .
Robin has quit the game in the hope in removing himself that would solve the problem .
It appears not Admin still want to brand us as cheats .

You want to catch Cheats , not guess. They make a trade you Swoop in REALLY PUNISH THEM , cancel any trade . ..Sorted.

Even after Robin explained what had happened you still want to block and Brand a group of players as cheats on a GUESS , in which you Guessed wrong.

Never heard of you guys so how are you being "Branded" as cheats? Its simply a mechanism to REDUCE THE RISK of cheating.

Cactusman and I have our accounts linked because we are good friends and no one is calling us cheats.

We have made 1 significant transfer in S15 for an international WS AR OBB which helped me to win the cup where i paid market rates at the time, the spend was more than worth it to get that monkey off my back.
And then a 1k nuffie.

2 transfers in 61 seasons. Being Linked doesn't imply anything about the managers in question.

You can still help each other by making recommendations of players that are on the TM. Half the battle is just identifying the talent.

Go to the game manual and look in the section "signing up". Part way down under a heading titled "losing your team" Read that a couple of times and notify admin. Its that simple.

Which one of us is a child , your grammar and spelling is like a 12 yr old .
I represent 6 other people and we have never done any illegal transfers and have a complete stranger added to our group .
Get your brain into Focus , and save your comments for something you understand

Given the large number of transfers that occur every day and a small admin team who works on the game in their free time on a volunteer basis, this is simply not possible.

The rule is there, as others have said, to prevent people from cheating. It’s unfortunate that this rule also limits people who are playing the game genuinely without cheating, but most people are happy to abide by this limitation and accept that it is necessary.

If you and others in your block can’t accept those rules and they ruin the fun you have in FTP, then you may do as Robin has done and stop playing. We’ll be sorry to see you go, but it’s your choice. If you choose to stay, however, please stop annoying the admins and the community with your aggressive and repetitive complaints. They are a waste of everyone’s time, including yours. The rule will NOT be changed.
