C. Stokes (rfs) 4-0-40-1, E. Kalonzo 5 (4b), C. Cabraal 11 (5b)
End of over 20 (12 runs) - Oxhey Players(121-7) RR 6.05

That's much more than I would like to have been chasing on a sticky pitch. My batting is stronger than my bowling today but it could be a tricky chase.

Not got a good feeling about this when our best spinner gets hammered like this is these conditions!

Home Ruff Royals
Away C.C.DeVille CCC
Ground Ruff Royals CG
League Twenty20 2.2
Date 30 Jun 20 10:00
Crowd 19,986
Weather Sunny
Pitch Uneven

We were made to bat first.

It was going really well here and we were on course for maybe 160+.

B. Eriksson (rfm) 3-0-24-1, J. Bass 0 (0b), F. Best 42 (31b)
End of over 14 (9 runs) - Ruff Royals(112-3) RR 8.00

An over and a hattrick later and we are now struggling to get 140+.

E. Riley (rm) 4-0-29-4, J. Bass 5 (3b), A. McCutchin 0 (0b)
End of over 15 (5 runs) - Ruff Royals(117-6) RR 7.80

F. Wise (rfm) 4-0-32-2, J. Bass 37 (25b), A. Ten Dam 0 (0b)
End of over 20 (5 runs) - Ruff Royals(152-9) RR 7.60

It was a bit of a rollercoaster but I think that's a decent total. We'll need to bowl well though as it's certainly chaseable.

Avila hit one of his best scores of the season with 43 from 33 balls, Best hit 42 from 32 balls, and Bass' 37 not out from 25 balls was also very handy.

P. Callaway (rfs) 2-0-9-0, T. Poels 17 (21b), H. Hana 42 (32b)
End of over 12 (6 runs) - C.C.DeVille CCC(91-2). 62 runs required from 8 overs. RR 7.58 RRR 7.75

We're not doing very well here. We could do with at least one hattrick to give us a chance.

Failure to get enough early wickets has cost us the points.

C.C.DeVille CCC won by 4 wickets.

Ruff Royals C.C.DeVille CCC
Batting - Top Order 13,542 13,824
Batting - Middle Order 9,673 9,699
Batting - Tail 4,315 5,225
Bowling - Seam 12,523 (16) 12,365 (16)
Bowling - Spin 12,852 (4) 12,170 (4)
Fielding/Keeping 16,093 15,320
Overall 217,029 217,361

Generally it was my higher powered bowlers that were the most expensive.

The good news is that we're still 4 points clear of 2nd place as they lost too.

End of over 22 (2 runs) - Sledgingshire(118-3) RR 5.36

Slow pitch and I've picked what is probably my weakest youth team this season. Just the five 16-year-olds playing!
