Disappointing that we couldn't defend what I thought was a decent total. It doesn't look like I can blame my bowling ratings either as ours are higher than theirs.
We're 4 points behind the top 2 now so have a bit of work to do in the 2nd half of the season although I think the chances of us getting promoted are very slim when we start to lose players.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
First of all Merry Xmas to you all
Home against Wolfberries today, a win today would make it an excellent first half of the season, a loss merely a decent one, so quite a big game. Won the toss on sticky/sunny and having a bat.

Merry Christmas to you as well.
Decided to get rid of my 3 oldest players yesterday, 2 retired and 1 on the transfer market. So you will be playing a weaker Wolfberries side today. This time had to come so thought why not now.

Match Ratings
South London's Number One CC wolfberries
Batting - Top Order 11,743 11,694
Batting - Middle Order 11,477 11,015
Batting - Tail 6,522 5,406
Bowling - Seam 13,137 (30) 13,001 (20)
Bowling - Spin 12,737 (20) 13,034 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 15,550 14,249
Overall 223,988 214,911
result: won by 61 runs. An all round good performance from the bats, getting 221/5 in the 50, which was always going to be a tough chase. Looked like it could be quite close at one point, but the rising run rate required proved to be too much, and our OBB swept up the tail to get his 2nd 6fer of the season with 6/29. A third straight win, obviously a long way to go but I feel confident we can avoid relegation, which I had severe doubts about 3 weeks ago!!

Fielding did for us today, we missed two from seven chances while your boys took all four of yours.
More fielding training next week then...

M. Jensen (lws) 4-0-21-3, M. Scholes 6 (6b), G. Lyon 0 (0b)
End of over 20 (5 runs) - wolfberries(140-6) RR 7.00
Decent score in the end but a poor last 3 overs may have cost us.

Actually I'm not too unhappy with this considering their opening attack.
