End of over 40 (15 runs) - wolfberries(205-8) RR 5.12

Well that's certainly a total our bowlers have a chance of defending.

It took an 49 run unbeaten 8th wicket partnership though to get us to this score.
That's a decent total; I'd take 205 on slow. Not unassailable but should be interesting.

Speaking of 205 (well, writing of it anyway).

N. Beatty (rm) 8-0-33-0, S. Clouston 18 (24b), M. Roberson 13 (13b)
End of over 40 (7 runs) - Ruff Royals(205-6) RR 5.12

It's a green pitch so I think that's okay too. I changed the batting order around and I guess it was ok but I wouldn't say it was a complete success. Everyone got into double figures but only Santos got to 50.

M. Roberson (lf) 2-0-10-0, T. McLarty 3 (7b), B. Dodemaide 7 (12b)
End of over 3 (2 runs) - Relegation reprobates(11-0). 195 runs required from 37 overs. RR 3.67 RRR 5.27

Roberson was a bit expensive in his first over but better in his second. Need 4 points in this one to get things up and running in YOD.

T. Ball (lws) 1-0-4-0, R. Whitesides 19 (23b), T. McLarty 37 (41b)
End of over 13 (4 runs) - Relegation reprobates(69-1). 137 runs required from 27 overs. RR 5.31 RRR 5.07

Struggling for wickets so it's time to bring on my spinners to see if they can do what the seamers can't on this green pitch.

I certainly agree and it's 50/50 at the moment.

You're dropping catches and we're getting through your seamers.

Well played. We just couldn't get McLarty out despite 3 or 4 chances to do so. I needed Roberson to take early wickets and I could have done with Vaughn being at least economical.

It's early days still but I can easily see us being relegated now. I'd be surprised if I picked up any points in international weeks as I should have at least 2 players away and could, in theory, be 5 (don't know if Massey will be touring but McCall and Roberson almost certainly will be and there's a couple of others depending on conditions, etc).

season now up and running after a 6 wicket victory today. struggling a bit with fatigue and had to rotate a bit, but fortunately my opponent rotated even more   still going to be a right slog to try and stay up, but at least it gives us 3 points on the board.
3 points?! Were you docked a point for rotating?!

I've gone for bowling first although I was really tempted to bat first. I guess that means it's a toss that I wouldn't mind if I lost.

It's an okay start after we won the toss. We don't want to let them get a partnership going though.
