L. MacGreevy (rfs) 5-1-25-3, A. Dotson 11 (4b), M. Schmidt 4 (7b)
End of over 26 (13 runs) - Ruff Royals(128-3) RR 4.92

Hicks gone for 58 and House for 52. Decent batting by them but it's not looking quite as good for us now.

L. Bruce (rfs) 1-0-6-0, C. McCarthy 22 (34b), E. Quinn 24 (20b)
End of over 14 (6 runs) - bigsexybarry(76-1). 124 runs required from 26 overs. RR 5.43 RRR 4.77

We're struggling a bit and have only taken one wicket. I need my spinners to perform to a high standard.

This was never going to end well for us, even if we had our best team out. At least a few youngsters got some experience.

bigsexybarry won by 5 wickets

I feel like we let it slip a bit with the batting. Then we were hurt by Rush failing to get wickets as well as Combs and Schneider being expensive.

Huge game today; it's 7th place versus 6th place. I won the toss and decided to bowl. I must admit to being influenced in my decision by yesterday's game in similar conditions (though hot instead of humid) where we batted first and didn't score enough.

P. Callaway (rfs) 2-0-6-0, F. Gordon 30 (49b), H. Crawford 30 (48b)
End of over 16 (5 runs) - bluekipper8878(63-0) RR 3.94

Diaz on now he has been expenisive on a few occasions this season but we need wickets now. We're really struggling.

A. Diaz (rfm) 5-0-22-2, F. Gordon 58 (79b), M. Cowmeadow 5 (9b)
End of over 25 (9 runs) - bluekipper8878(102-2) RR 4.08

Diaz picked up a couple of wickets but I think we could have done with another couple before the break. We really need to get these two out quickly.

E. Perry (rm) 9-0-54-0, J. Omar 2 (4b), M. Cowmeadow 29 (27b)
End of over 32 (10 runs) - bluekipper8878(145-4) RR 4.53

Perry not justifying his inclusion with the ball. Cowmeadow still in and looking to be a thorn in our side. Diaz with 4 wickets now but we need others to contribute too. It's looking like it's going to be a very difficult total to successfully chase.

End of over 37 (1 run) - bluekipper8878(165-7) RR 4.46

A great over from Hodges where he gets key player, Cowmeadow, and Pike. We can't afford these last 3 to get many runs though as this is going to be a challenging chase for my batters as it is.

End of over 45 (maiden) - bluekipper8878(189-10) RR 4.20

Great bowling by Diaz. The game is very much in the balance. I can't say I have a massive amount of confidence in my own batters though.

Ruff Royals won by 2 wickets

Ruff Royals bluekipper8878
Batting - Top Order 14,718 13,811
Batting - Middle Order 12,399 11,845
Batting - Tail 4,886 6,293
Bowling - Seam 13,820 (30) 12,942 (20)
Bowling - Spin 14,192 (20) 13,006 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 17,558 14,540
Overall 245,649 230,026

Very close game. Allrounders inflating the ratings for my side, I'd imagine. 5 wickets for Diaz and 3 for Hodges was the best for my bowlers. For the batsmen there was 42 for Avila, 46 for Liberatore and 46 not out for Best. Perry made up for his poor bowling with 16 runs in a crucial 42-run stand with Best.

With a sub-100 rating Nottm Outlaws XI to play on the last day of the season, this win should mean that we will stay up now.

Edit: Top 4 teams all on 32 points so it's going to be an interesting end to the season for them.

Potential banana skin today against a well-managed Six Offenders side who had already managed 4 wins against the ratings this season, including against us in the reverse fixture. Unfortunately for them they found us with a fast bowler in fine form, ripping out the top order and polishing the tail to finish with 6-27. A score of 134 was never likely to be problematic, even on Sticky. Result: Win by 6 wickets:

South London's Number One CC v The Six Offenders >> Match Ratings
Match Ratings
South London's Number One CC The Six Offenders
Batting - Top Order 13,614 12,998
Batting - Middle Order 11,939 9,220
Batting - Tail 4,861 5,497
Bowling - Seam 13,495 (40) 12,653 (40)

Fielding/Keeping 16,995 14,589

Thanks to second placed Snakey's Kent Stars dropping points, we're now 6 points clear with 2 games to go. 2 very tough games though, so certainly it's not over, but it's a great position we find ourselves in for sure.
