S. Clouston (rf) 3-0-17-0, A. Fadil 6 (4b), E. Avila 15 (20b)
End of over 6 (6 runs) - Oxhey Players(28-3). 204 runs required from 14 overs. RR 4.67 RRR 14.57

Two wickets for Roberson and a run out for McCall. It's looking like a certain win with that RR and RRR.

Ruff Royals won by 158 runs.

Ruff Royals Oxhey Players
Batting - Top Order 7,400 3,443
Batting - Middle Order 4,534 3,228
Batting - Tail 2,707 1,748
Bowling - Seam 5,573 (16) 3,573 (16)
Bowling - Spin 9,546 (4) 2,744 (4)
Fielding/Keeping 7,703 2,721
Overall 110,811 57,133

Unsurprisingly, it was a huge win with those ratings. I did play a few youngsters (two 16-year-olds and one 17-year-old) but maybe I could have played more. It means I'm in the top 4 and I should be 4 points clear of 5th place.

As mentioned already, McCall starred with the bat with 133 not out from 62 balls and Clarke hit 70 from 39 balls. For the bowlers, Massey took 3 wickets for 5 runs and Roberson took 3 wickets for 9 runs.

Will take this win, especially as eleven future senior squad members played today with some of our younger prospects getting a game as well.

With 3 key players away on international duty, we're at a big disadvantage today against C.C. DeVille.

B. Eriksson (rfm) 1-0-5-0, C. Paton 6 (6b), J. Bass 27 (37b)
End of over 13 (5 runs) - Ruff Royals(56-4) RR 4.31

Unsurprisingly, we're struggling on this sticky pitch; it didn't help when my best batsman got out for a first ball duck. I'd take at total of 120 at this point but that looks very unlikely with only allrounders or worst to come in terms of batting.

E. Calder (rfm) 4-0-40-1, V. Guaita 8 (8b), J. McArthur 58 (43b)
End of over 15 (15 runs) - South London's Number One CC(103-5) RR 6.87
14.6 4 Calder to McArthur : A vicious hook shot from McArthur, which beats the diving fielder at square leg and away to the boundary for four runs.
14.5 4 Calder to McArthur : Classy extra cover drive. Full in length, outside the off stump, McArthur glided forward and drove through the line.
That is 50 runs for McArthur (50 runs, 41b 3x4 1x6) SR:121.95
14.4 4 Calder to McArthur : That was a joy to watch. Cracking shot through cover point for four, along the ground all the way.

Oh god we are going to be beaten by one player :doh

15.3 4 Window to McArthur : Pitched on middle and McArthur wristily flicks it past a diving square leg for four. Nice shot lad.
15.2.Window to McArthur : [dropped] Uppishly played towards cover, Coombes dives forward, gets his hands underneath the ball, but then somehow manages to drop the ball.

Game over!

 I hate 20/20...

E. McCosker (rfs) 4-0-42-0, J. McArthur 76 (54b), J. Ayew 11 (5b)
End of over 20 (12 runs) - South London's Number One CC(161-7) RR 8.05

Yes beaten by one player, that's at least 30 runs more than we could have chased!

B. Eriksson (rfm) 4-0-36-0, C. Paton 38 (25b), J. Bass 56 (60b)
End of over 20 (19 runs) - Ruff Royals(117-4) RR 5.85

It was a great last over which teases us into thinking we've got a chance of winning. Even if we don't win, it was a great innings from Bass with his half century and a very handy 38 from Paton.

There's been an early wicket for Perry but it was also a reasonably expensive over from him too.

E. Perry (rm) 1-0-9-1, B. Living 1 (1b), Z. Abolhassan 3 (7b)
End of over 2 (9 runs) - C.C.DeVille CCC(13-1). 105 runs required from 18 overs. RR 6.50 RRR 5.83

I think that's chaseable. Difficult, but chaseable. They should tire a bit and that might give you a chance.

End of over 9 (7 runs) - C.C.DeVille CCC(52-1). 66 runs required from 11 overs. RR 5.78 RRR 6.00

Not enough early wickets mean we have little chance of winning this. Only a major collapse will give us a chance and, with my spinners bowling, I think that is unlikely to happen.

10.6 W Whitney to McCosker : [catch] Whitney bowls a full toss on off, McCosker tries to go over cover but does not clear the fielder and hits it straight to Kibaki who takes the catch. The crowd has gone berserk.E. McCosker c D. Kibaki b. R. Whitney 45 (31b 3x4 0x6) SR:145.16

Of course as I was waiting for the over to finish before I replied, we lose a wicket from the last ball :doh

Yes you certainly need wickets and quickly.
