Batting - Top Order 6,911 7,833

Bowling - Seam 6,208 (8) 7,036 (8)
Bowling - Spin 7,078 (12) 8,779 (12)
Fielding/Keeping 8,539 8,623
Overall 119,723 140,433
Relegation reprobates won by 8 wickets
Very much outclassed today. Maybe in 3 or 4 weeks we would have had a better chance. Technically I didn't play my strongest team as I'm considering selling my best spinner whilst he's young enough to get something for him. I think I'll sell him despite this team performance as it just feels like the right thing to do.
We were still quite poor though. We didn't score enough and I'm placing the blame on my more senior youths as they just didn't perform.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
Home to Crestfallen Sidekicks in Sticky/Cloudy lost the toss and having a bat. Been a bit disappointed not to have added anyone over pre-season, but prices have been so mental. Don't mind a slight overpay but there is a limit
hopefully things will settle down in the next couple of weeks!

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
Not a great start to the season. We needed the last ball of the innings to go for less than 2 to win the match; it went for 4.
Topmen won by 2 wickets.
Topmen Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 14,657 14,344
Batting - Middle Order 11,208 12,580
Batting - Tail 5,790 4,791
Bowling - Seam 13,845 (16) 14,225 (8)
Bowling - Spin 15,129 (4) 14,259 (12)
Fielding/Keeping 16,775 17,246
Overall 241,672 245,037
I certainly have to take some of the blame for this one as I should maybe have picked more seamers due to the weather conditions on this sticky pitch. Having said that, 1 of my 3 spinners got 5-17 and another got 2-24 so that's not exactly terrible (the 3rd spinner was terrible though).
I also thought I'd strengthen my batting line-up by playing 2 allrounders and that went well with my 2 allrounders scoring a combined 1 run and ending with combined figures of 0-67 from their total of 8 overs!

Not the worst total by us, not sure our bowlers are strong enough to defend that though.
