Yikes...pretty perplexing that one...my exceptional rated RM going at 12 an over on slow...? Effortless boundaries by your chaps, I could hardly get anything going with the bat, despite similar ratings as you say. 2 misfields (4 runs) from 11 checks, took all chances we had in the field. Really not sure why we were so comprehensively dismantled, but that's T20 FTP for you...casperj wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 12:12 pmEgham Town CC Crestfallen Sidekicks

Overall 206,900 209,454
result: won by 8 wickets.
strange game really, opps batted first on sticky, got 121/8 in their 20. our openers batted all the way through to 17.3 overs, but struggled to get going, leaving us needing 21 from 15 still. Fortunately a couple of late boundaries got us over the line and an important win after a couple of games we basically chucked because of fitness issues.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
Yeah fielding is a wierd one. We actually dropped 3 out of 8, but they didn't cost us (one was for a player who only scored 10 more, the other two were at the end when the match was already over). Looks like the bad spell by your medium pacer (who had capable form - not that form really counts for anything) set up the win for us. We've only won two T20s all season, and they've been against the top 2 teams in the league!montyh wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 12:53 pmYikes...pretty perplexing that one...my exceptional rated RM going at 12 an over on slow...? I guess the T20 results are far more random - at least it makes the league exciting, just 2 wins between all the teams.
All the best

Also cloudy/dry.
W. Patterson (rfs) 8-0-34-0, R. Gilbert 45 (36b), C. Dickerson 12 (11b)
End of over 40 (5 runs) - Ruff Royals(221-4) RR 5.53
I was quite happy with that. Bullock and House both got 71 while Gilbert added a nice 45 not out. However, the bowling looks to be letting us down.
T. Zondeki (rf) 6-1-25-0, W. Fletcher 39 (55b), W. Lutchman 35 (43b)
End of over 16 (7 runs) - Gold Prospectors X1(78-0). 144 runs required from 24 overs. RR 4.88 RRR 6.00
Edit: Gardiner has just picked up a wicket so we need that to be the start of a collapse.

The bowling really picked up in the 2nd half of their innings. It went from 81-0 to 194 all out (or 160-3 to 194 all out). Williams' and Patterson's late bowling was really crucial with Patterson ending with 5-35.
