Yes we are both surprised but well done :thumbsup

Nice to see your homegrown players helping to beat us, you can't beat homegrown.

Pleased to have won my first PC / MKMC match, although my opponent essentially threw the game playing a number of youth team players. A shame, because we were closely rated.

The #3 seed up next - was fun while it lasted... :?

End of over 20 (17 runs) - wolfberries(169-3) RR 8.45

Will take that final score, feel for opener Duldig who carried his bat but just missed out on a century.

C. Chudasama (rf) 4-0-34-1, J. Van Dijk 58 (51b), R. Santiago 13 (5b)
End of over 20 (15 runs) - Staindrop Village CC(125-5) RR 6.25

They decided to bat on an uneven pitch. I've not picked a full strength team so I'm not unhappy with the bowling. It's certainly not going to be an easy chase though.

M. Srivastava (rfm) 2-0-7-0, A. Evans 5 (10b), I. Santos 5 (8b)
End of over 3 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(10-0). 116 runs required from 17 overs. RR 3.33 RRR 6.82

Looks like we're going quite slowly.

Staindrop Village CC won by 6 runs.

Staindrop Village CC Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 6,869 7,125
Batting - Middle Order 5,971 4,769
Batting - Tail 4,274 2,712
Bowling - Seam 6,451 (16) 5,850 (16)
Bowling - Spin 8,597 (4) 9,475 (4)
Fielding/Keeping 8,166 7,542
Overall 123,084 111,217

We didn't win but I'm pleased with the performance. Roberson was our best bowler with a miserly 2-10 from his 4 overs and 2 batters got us close to their total with Whitehead scoring 44 from 37 balls and bowler Clouston hitting 35 from 26 balls.

Good to be playing Ruff Royals again but methinks Sparks boys are the favorites today, hence why I've gone with the upset pitch that is Crumbling.

Rightly or wrongly, I almost always have more confidence that we can successfully chase a total in T20 rather than successfully defend a total. I've gone for 4 seamers due to the weather but I was very tempted to give my young spin allrounder a game instead of Perry.

I'm happy so far but who knows what's going to be good enough on a crumbling pitch?

I going to say sticking with Perry was probably a good idea.

E. Perry (rm) 4-1-10-2, O. Harford 1 (3b), R. Fontaine 3 (8b)
End of over 8 (2 runs) - wolfberries(30-3) RR 3.75
