I get that you were not happy, so to get you on board and talk around there should only be moments for you to criticize but not appreciate i guess

Anyways you said you lost count of tactical mistakes can you help with what those were other than the three you have mentioned.

However, i want to tell everyone that in this tour each and every call be it tactical mistake/ Out of the box approach was taken by me and i am sole responsible for the performance.

1) Makeshift opener - Game 1 - sopariwala - he was asked to open for two reasons he is seam specialist and the other is he had accomplished batting summary not average or ordinary also to allow our Finisher's 1 bat and other AR to bat at 7 & 8 to give us chance to chase it down in final overs
2) 4 spinners - yes we understand the penalty, also that was an approach i dont back out doing if i believe my 4th spinner can do better than the seamer on the day which we played even before this also some other teams do it as well maybe you haven't noticed that, However we wanted to play 2 seam and 3 spin in this game but that was the day India vs Australia final test, final day and we all were glued to TV and almost lost track of time and set the lineup pretty quickly.

Regarding Netherlands they had a brilliant tour and their top order was the key contribution to their success which was very good considering everyone lost wickets they dint this tour. Anyways i cant say alot about them but yes even i was gutted seeing that ratings.

3) Bowlers batting at 2/4/6 - the only game we won and you are still complaining ?
the logic behind it was we had a poor show with quick early wickets and also every time a wicket falls there is one more to follow effecting us so i went with this way to see that we have good bats into final 10 overs on a sticky wicket, which was rejected by all my assistants sternly but i still went ahead because i believed in the logic although i agree it is not conventional approach ended the day happy because it was our win and brought us back into the mix where we could try for survival on 5th day.

would like to hear more of your mistakes lost count comment

@apsinha, you obviously were not following the senior nats if you believe playing 4 spinners is something undoable.

And I still remember those days when you used to criticize us even if we done well...And now after 5 days of disastrous tour ending,there is no post from you...You do not find any mistakes of current U20 management it seems...

Well you won does not mean playing bowlers in batting positions is a good idea...
There is no mention of you feeling sorry for this awful results in your long speech...
I do not always criticize,I also appreciate when the team does well...check my comments in Senior NT thread in this matter...if you do well in your remaining 3 tours & 1/2 WCs,I will be the first to appreciate that...
Anyway good luck for the upcoming T20 WC tournament...

Oh I definitely feel awful for this tour results and relegating from Div 2, this team and trainers doesn't deserve that and we aim to bounce back as immediately as possible and improve our rank as well.

I do not always criticize,I also appreciate when the team does well...check my comments in Senior NT thread in this matter...if you do well in your remaining 3 tours & 1/2 WCs,I will be the first to appreciate that...

My Bad probably i must have also missed it for OD 1st tour where we fell short of promotion by NRR.

And yes i agree bowlers in batting slots isnt a good idea but sometimes you do things because the conventional stuff isn't working and you try with your intuition than logic and see how the performances went so far, however would I do it again maybe i don't think so but if there is a situation that arises and if i believe in it i wont hesitate just because its not approved/conventional/non controversial approach, i play it with the win in mind and some times you win and sometimes you don't but there needs to be belief and effort in what you are doing and i have no doubt that i give anything less than 100%

I have criticized the current management in the place where they are active. But since we too missed the deadline to select a squad I dont think we can take the moral high ground. It's one thing that we somehow managed to win division 1 with 16 players. There were mistakes done by them which I have informed them about but playing 4 spinners on a dry pitch is not one according to me.

Oh Come on guys lets not be tit for tat kinda community lets be one and try to better.

I have tried to push the whole community towards activity irrespective of performance even made posts around it but only thing attracted anyone to come here and talk is because there isnt a good performance.

I believe in one strong community than fragments of it.

@apsinha - i can confirm i did hear a good criticism from NAT guys as much as you criticized or want to criticize me. And i have said same to him as well bowlers batting at 2/4/6 i am not going to regret in a way you expect me to we were on defensive on pitches better than sticky and we dint score enough runs so i went with weird plan to have some batting talent down the last overs maybe you dont expect but i do know there will be some negative impact for bats playing below no.7 because ME will count them as tailenders and have that kind of impact but i was trying to hold wickets for 50 overs to take advantage of that final few overs slogging which we were missing.

Did what I wanted to have with this tactic work for me yes it did.
we were 126/7 at 38.3 which was our general sorry state in previous games by then we would have lost all our bats and struggle to score anymore but this time we had two bats at crease and we got to 163/8 at 44.4 (37 runs in 37 balls big game changer for us) again we lost another bowler where we were 168/9 at 45.4 so in next 26 balls we had a bat still to play along with a bowler who has reasonable batting talent and what happened was we scored 32 runs from that partnership. Ended up on 200 with this big push and won the game because it is good score on this pitch and RR pressure piled up for pakistan.

we did think for 2 medium pacers but we went for extra fastie which can give us lot more flexibility in the way we can lineup than restrict ourselves.
