Game 3 vs Scotland on a Dry pitch with Humid conditions expected.

Pakistan won the toss & elected to bat first.

Pakistan: 256/8 off 50 overs
Pakistan laid a solid foundation after starting off with a cautious approach. L.Ur-Rehman made 15 (26) before edging to the keeper, M.Irshad anchored superbly with a patient and composed 65 (101), Captain M.Mohammad then took charge, playing the standout innings of the match, a superb 100 (105), as he held Pakistan’s innings together. Cameos late on from A.Waris 24 (36), a lively burst from A.Fareed 22 (12), and a late flourish from I.Shahroon 15* (9) boosted the total past 250.

Scotland U20: 257/9 off 49.3 overs
The chase began steadily for Scotland, though Pakistan struck early when S.Rakhman removed skipper A.Souness for 14. A.Docherty 43 (77) dug in with G.Morrison 72 (83) reviving the innings through a composed partnership. However, regular wickets at key moments kept the game on a knife edge. Scotland were 111/4 at the drinks interval and slipped further behind when the 8th wicket fell, still requiring 86 runs from 72 balls but the match turned decisively through a phenomenal knock from D.Garratt. He counter attacked magnificently, launching Pakistan’s bowlers to all parts on his way to a match winning 103* (85), featuring 9 fours and 3 sixes, guiding Scotland home in dramatic fashion.

Game 4 vs USA on a Slow pitch with Humid conditions expected.

Pakistan won the toss & elected to bat first.

Pakistan: 226/10 off 50 overs
Pakistan had a terrible start as wickets fell regularly with the batters struggling for rhythm early on. M.Irshad fell cheaply for 1 and captain F.Razzaq was run out for 6, leaving Pakistan searching for stability. Opener S.Niaz 34 (51) held firm and with B.Cheema’s patient 28 (66) they attempted to consolidate. The innings came to life through the latter overs thanks to a composed knock from F.Akram 39 (45) and an aggressive burst by A.Fareed, who smashed 51 off just 42 balls with five boundaries, a crucial innings that changed the tempo. N.Stankzai contributed 25 (31) and late blows from S.Shariq 14 (13) ensured Pakistan reached 226/10, a total that looked slightly below par but competitive given the slow surface.

USA: 183/10 off 42.2 overs
The chase began in dramatic fashion as Pakistan’s seamers struck immediately, S.Rakhman removing opener Murphy for 1 and Guerra cheaply. USA never managed to settle, losing 3 wickets inside the first 10 runs. B.Stafford 33 (63) and C.Hull 48 (65) attempted to rebuild but were dismissed just before the drinks break leaving USA on 104/5. B.Hines 37 (45) & Captain B.Hensley 36 (60) rebuilt again offering hopes of a comeback but Pakistan’s bowlers hit them back in dramatic fashion. S.Shariq produced a sensational spell, ripping through the middle and lower order finishing with a stunning 5/26. At the other end, S.Rakhman’s hostile lines earned him a superb 4/30, including key top order wickets. USA slumped from 179/5 to 183 all out.

Game 5 vs West Indies on a Crumbling pitch with Humid conditions expected.

Pakistan won the toss & elected to bat first.

Pakistan: 216/7 off 50 overs
After opting to bat, A.Waris anchored the innings with a patient 54 (112), while M.Irshad (26) and A.Fareed (30) provided useful support. The innings came alive in the final overs through wicketkeeper T.Mumtaz, who smashed an unbeaten 56* (36) with 2 fours and 2 sixes, propelling Pakistan beyond 200.

West Indies: 136/10 off 41.5 overs
Chasing 217, West Indies struggled against disciplined bowling. Captain A.Dewdney (23) and WK K.Beckford (45) were the only batters to resist, but wickets fell regularly at the other end. Spinner K.Rakhman was devastating, running through the middle and lower order with remarkable figures of 5/12 from 8 overs. West Indies were eventually dismissed for 136, falling 80 runs short.

Game 3 vs Scotland – Lost by 1 wicket
