Kudos to Chezza for getting himself in that situation. Most of us will have played a young team for experience and form in the cup when circumstances allowed

I think you are overlooking something pretty important here. It's a knockout competition run amongst the regular club schedule and both sides have remained very competitive in their leagues whilst also beating every opponent in the cup through to the quarter finals.
When competing in all 3 forms (t20,od & cup) you generally have to prioritize your selections each week to remain competitive. Personally I think it has been a great display of management on Chezza's part to have both sides go so far in The Cup plus be performing so well in Div1. A top achievement.

As I said back on page 1, it happens and it is not cheating. It is no different to throwing a cup game against someone else.
