I was at 6m and my wage bill ballooned so I've lost money every week. It's normal because I want to have my cake and eat it too. Academies are usually what people tell you to drop. Was I right that you only had away games this week or was I assuming too much?

Your biggest problem is your wage bill for div 4 seniors is too high because you have so many youths, I’d be getting rid of the 17yo’s that have atrocious and dreadful experience or anyone over 19 that only has poor experience and get games into your better skilled youths, no good they get to 20 with bad experience, you’re paying far to much for players that aren’t getting game time, you have a good enough senior team primary’s wise to promote next season, but none of them can field, and ifyou manage your fatigue better that will go a long way to helping you win games, you have 5 senior players that are heavily fatigued which is costing you matches in turn it’s affecting your teams performances which then costs you crowds and gate takings, on top of that those players are getting an affected training so aren’t improving like they should which also is costing you games as the teams around you are improving and your not.
If you want to run both youths and seniors you need to find a balance with your academy’s drop your youth academy a bit and bring your senior one up, which will also help the training and stop all the teams around you drifting past while your players stay stagnant.
I’d be aiming for around good/excellent for both until your teams start going up divisions bringing you more sponsorship and better gate takings then you can raise them accordingly.
If you are going to be youth focused (which is what your academy levels suggest, get rid of your seniors with high wages and you’ll be fine, either way I’d be getting rid of all your seniors anyway and buy a heap of 21-24yo’s at end of season, they would go close to out rating the side you have now, would be cheaper, would be able to field and would be better to train up.
No good having spectacular batters and bowlers if they can’t field and are heavily fatigued and not getting any training.
But besides all that the first thing I would be doing is finding an experienced mentor and getting them to help you get on the right track and help with the types of players you should be targeting.
