THAT CERTAINLY WOULD BE NICE HEPPS. And that’s exactly what the lads did. Kept USA to 239 and chased it down in the second last over.heppa wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 1:26 pmG. Armanjani (lfs) 10-0-44-1, R. Horton 3 (5b), T. Gilbert 32 (33b)
End of over 45 (7 runs) - USA U20(201-5) RR 4.47
5 missed chances now. I'm not confident chasing more than 200, but it would be nice keeping them to 240 which has been chaseable for most games this week.
Extra Curriculum
A big cheers to the USA boys for the 28 extras (including 13 leg byes). Tbf our lads did give them a sporting 19 extras so fair is fair.
A big night for extras across the grade. Zimbabwe gave Kenya 26. Whilst Kenya gave away just the 11. Ireland gave away 13 and South Africa 11.
That’s the ton for the extras last night (108). What an achievement by the lad.
But i degress.... the win by the boys and Kenya’s upset against Zimbabwe means it’s off to Div 2 for the lads.

A pretty good tour considering our only lost was a last ball loss after making a considerable total. The bats have dominated this tour.
Shout out to UAEs own Yardeen Shareef who was the divisions leading run scorer with how 254 runs from his 4 games.
Also congrats to Zane Baha who’s 9 wickets from 3 games saw him take out equal leading wicket taker for the week.
Worth noting that no bowlers took 10 wickets for the week and four bats made 200 runs or more.
The Big Eagle Quinten Lynch took the most catches for the week with his 4. Congrats big boi!
Tour Match # 5
VS
Result:

The Match in a tweet: My head hurts from all the calculations I’ve done to try and work out the NRR. But none of them matter because Kenya have held on for an upset over Zimbabwe and our bats have pulled this chase from nowhere.
Man of the Match:
Jayden White
Our best:
Yarden Shareef - 77 not out! Yardeen comes to the crease in the 13th over at 2/45 required run rate is 5.42 and we are only going at 3.21 an over. Yardeen shook off being dropped on 17, dug in nicely and didn’t give another chance. Brought up a 50 run stand with Hakim just before drinks. At drinks the game was almost back on level terms (RRR 5.12 and RR 4.48). The RRR did get as high as 6.11 at the end of the 31st over but the lads didn’t panick. Shareef smoking a glorious 6 to bring up both his 50 and the 50 partnership with Hadi. The lads grinded away and kept with in touch of the RRR until the 48th over where Armanjani took 14 off the over. 3 more off the next and the win was ours!!!
Well that’s a wrap for the week fan(s)! Could be just one I’m not sure who actually reads these at this point.
A big congratulation to Heppa and the team for a successful promotion up to Division 2! I believe but don’t quote me a good tour in Div 2 could snag a World Cup qualification!! Which ultimately is the holy grail for us at this stage! Who knows dare to dream - once you’re in it, you can win it!
With that ends a season of International Fixtures! I hope you have enjoyed tuning in over these 6 tours! Next season both Seniors and Youth will start with a Division 2 One Day tour and a Division 3 T20 Tour. The seniors can only improve after a winless T20 campaign that saw them bottom out in the lowest division. There’s been no word from officials about being replaced by a new nation so we will carry on with preparations.
Good luck with your remaining club seasons. I wish you all the very best of luck and hope the ME treats you all very nicely.
See you next season - xoxo gossip moose!
