10.6.Ismail to Matin : Mansour chirps up “I’ve seen better batters in the fish and chip shop” which even the Hamer finds amusing with a little smirk.

Reckon the “the” in front of {ba} is a typo. Works out not too bad in this scenario because they do call him the Hamer 🔨
