Re: NT League Matches
A much better performance considering the ratings but the batsmen didn't quite get enough runs. England didn't collapse as much as we needed them to collapse.

the keeper dropped a catch in hymen's first over. that was probably the difference, in the end...

Nice win in the T20 against Bermuda despite being heavily behind in the match ratings.

Re: NT League Matches
we were fairly competitive in the tour despite taking our least experienced players from the squad.
best performers were rios and mendoza, but there were several competitive efforts from players who are younger than 27...

A. Skennar 2-0-9-0, G. Davis 1 (6b), A. Lee 6 (6b)
End of over 20 (6 runs) - USA(74-5) RR 3.70
We could do with a decent partnership or two to get us to at least 150 which could be enough if we bowl well. At the moment, it doesn't look like we'll get that many though.

How has Kurt Angle played 71 ODIs and never scored a century? With a wage like that he is clearly a gun!

His average isn't very good either; it's just 21.89 (although it's a respectable 36.74 in friendlies).TEETERS wrote:How has Kurt Angle played 71 ODIs and never scored a century? With a wage like that he is clearly a gun!
Well done to rogue and his assistants on the much needed win against the UAE.

Re: NT League Matches
Disappointing tour. We finished reasonably strongly and ended up 4th, but that first innings debacle killed us in game 1.
Interestingly enough, the batting orders were identical in the last match where we scored double the runs on the same pitch...

i can't seem to find where you get nat points from (obviously winning helps) is it based on position? if so what amounts to what?tomaldo wrote:Stupid match enginerogue wrote:Disappointing tour. We finished reasonably strongly and ended up 4th, but that first innings debacle killed us in game 1.

Shows how much of a big part luck plays I guess?
WC qualification is still on, will need to win the group next time more than likely, but with a bit of luck this is doable. Come on Roguey you can do itGo USA

Off to a great start in the T20 tour; winning despite having the lower ratings. I wasn't convinced we'd scored enough runs but some excellent bowling did the job. Chikorita even bowled a maiden on a hard pitch.

Re: NT League Matches
yeah, pretty pleasing outcome for us. hard/uneven pitches aren't exactly our strongest, so I was not expecting to come away from this one with the points...

Re: NT League Matches
A relatively young team today. Hopefully a great sign for the next few seasons. Nice to see Melton scoring a few at the top of the order. I don't think he's ever opened before, but make him captain of the NT and he gets delusions of grandeur. I hope his head fits through the pavilion door when he gets back home at the end of the week.
