Results have been poor for the U19s, although we've not had a great crop of 19 yr olds this season. Many of our top-rated players have consistently failed, particularly the batsmen. We've had to rely on an 18 yr old keeper because of the lack of 19 yr olds. No top-class all-rounder either, and a shortage of spinners.

Next seasons's team should be better, but WC qualification will be hard starting in division 3

Lost to the Irish in match one of the U19 World Cup group stage. Bowlers performed well, as they have for most of the season. Batsmen collapsed despite being in a strong position.....as they have for most of the season.

With the Irish being one of the weaker teams in the group, that was a match we really needed to win.

It was a needed big win, the other teams should have similar results against them, glad we had the chance to bat first.
Netherlands tomorrow will much tougher, and the hard/sunny conditions may be harder for the batsmen.
The catching needs to be better.

We followed up with another win, it was indeed tougher conditions for the batsmen, bowled out inside 45 overs, 221 probably just below a par score.
They nearly pinched it, finisher rotating the strike off the 5th ball of the over for 15 consecutive overs.

Pakistan tomorrow, again hard/sunny.

We finished the tour with a hard fought win against Ireland after losing the last 2 matches.
We managed to pinch the 2nd promotion spot after Ireland and Bermuda looked most likely to do so.
Back into NOD Division 1. :)

A reminder that the Bangladesh Senior team are playing this week.

After making the semi-finals of the recent World Cup, qualification for the next one starts with this tour. We start in division 2, hoping for promotion to the top division.

We have an old faces/new faces management team of Turbz, Jdanno, blackmoon & Slugman.

Also, a quick plug for the Bangladesh Offsite, where discussion about the Bangla national teams takes place. http://z13.invisionfree.com/BangladeshFTP/index.php?

Thanks caradon. :)
Matches are hard to follow with a very early starting time. Hoping we can continue the run of form or luck.

We followed up Game 1 with another narrow win in Game 2 today against the tour hosts/favourites.

Comprehensive victory in game 3.

Bowled the Dutch out with 8 overs left for 175.
Chased it down with 10 overs to spare. :clap

Make that 4 from 4! Comprehensive again and the luck continues.

This win ensures promotion and we will be reappearing in Nat One Day 1 later this season. It also goes a long way in qualifying for the One Day World Cup, with only a few more wins required over the next 3 tours to make it a certainty.

Thanks to those posting on the offsite. :)
