End of over 36 (4 runs) - Relegation reprobates(181-4) RR 5.03
We need to win this game to give ourselves a chance of staying up. I've only just noticed that this is a dry pitch and not a slow one so I suppose the runs scored isn't as bad as I was thought. It's still not looking great though and we've done what we've done all season and struggled to take wickets.

26 from the last 2 overs has really hurt our chances so we're going to need some top class batting.

End of over 16 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(74-0). 143 runs required from 24 overs. RR 4.62 RRR 5.96
The RRR is proving a bit of a problem at the moment. I suspect we'll need to keep plenty of wickets in hand if we're going to score quickly enough towards the end of the innings to get us over the winning line.

End of over 23 (1 run) - Ruff Royals(105-1). 112 runs required from 17 overs. RR 4.57 RRR 6.59
That's the first wicket gone just before the break and I don't think we can afford to let the RRR go above 7.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
Well, we need more than seven an over now and we're three wickets down. My best two batsmen are in so it's going to be down to these to score quickly and get the last eighty+ runs.

End of over 36 (10 runs) - Ruff Royals(186-3). 31 runs required from 4 overs. RR 5.17 RRR 7.75
We got it down below 8 an over needed. But then only scored 6 runs from the next 2 overs and lost 2 wickets in the process. So it was a disappointing loss.

Sorry to drag you down with me mate. Thought you had a spinner or two at least, probably the difference in the end.spark wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 1:36 pmD. Foley (lws) 6-0-35-1, S. Whitehead 21 (18b), A. Clarke 50 (42b)

I started the season with 2 and I had 4 the season before but lost my spinners before the halfway stage, I think.Monsieurflibble wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 3:51 pmSorry to drag you down with me mate. It was last week's 1 run loss that really killed my survival hopes.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
We're playing Topmen on a slow pitch and were asked to bowl first.
A. Ten Dam (rfm) 1-0-2-0, T. Moolman 5 (9b), N. Van der Zanden 42 (59b)
End of over 16 (2 runs) - Topmen(87-1) RR 5.44
It was a terrible start but we managed to get a couple of wickets and I was hoping we'd pull the run rate back a bit. That didn't happen and things were looking pretty bleak at the break. A missed stumping the ball before the break didn't help.
C. Moses (rws) 5-0-35-1, H. Herbst 20 (19b), N. Van der Zanden 73 (87b)
End of over 25 (3 runs) - Topmen(152-3) RR 6.08
Then the pitch seemed to completely change into an absolute minefield and we took full advantage.
A. Diaz (rfm) 7.3-0-38-2, D. Chilvers 7 (7b)
End of over 41 (1 run) - Topmen(191-10) RR 4.66
I'd have certainly taken that score at the break!
Sadly, the pitch seems to have remained a minefield for my side's innings.
B. Hunter (rfm) 5-0-17-2, C. Paton 1 (2b), T. Brown 11 (24b)
End of over 9 (1 run) - Ruff Royals(26-4). 166 runs required from 41 overs. RR 2.89 RRR 4.05
