Ruff Royals The Ashes CC
Batting - Top Order 7,807 6,142

Fielding/Keeping 8,457 8,279
Overall 123,721 110,763
Evans aside, who hit a fantastic 76 from 60 balls, my batsmen were useless as we struggled to 121 on a green pitch. The bowling wasn't too bad but fast bowler Chudasama did what he has done many times before and lost us the match with some extremely poor and uneconomical bowling.
It's looking like this season's aim in Youth T20 is to avoid relegation.

End of over 20 (6 runs) - Ruff Royals(151-8) RR 7.55
Uneven pitch and it was a bit of a rollercoaster of an innings but it finished quite well, I'd say. We've given ourselves a chance but we'll need to bowl well. 45 for Bowers and 39 not out for Best were the two performances that got us to a decent total.

No wickets so far and it's not looking good as we really needed Diaz to pick up a couple.

End of over 15 (6 runs) - Ffoh(85-5). 67 runs required from 5 overs. RR 5.67 RRR 13.40
So it's an uneven pitch and it was time for my spinners to bowl after my seamers did nothing. Hodges got a wicket in his first over and both spinners didn't concede many runs. RRR increased and Diaz came back and picked up a couple of wickets in his next over and a couple more in his final over. The spinners have really helped turn things around for me.

I'm very happy with that result.
I got slightly worried when they needed 41 runs from 2 overs that they hit 19 runs off the penultimate over but Hodges did the job in the final over. The spinners (and Diaz) turned the game for me as the RRR shot up from 7.58 to 9.75 and enabled Diaz to come back strong with 4 wickets.

Had a big reprieve staying in Div 3, and defintely looking to improve on last season's performance!!

Not sure how you fared so badly last season, I speculate you were focussing upon OD. Which is unfortunate for sides like mine...
If you keep it together this year you should have a great shot at promotion.
I had a chuckle on the discord, well more of a whinge really - $200k vs. $117k Senior Squad wage variance in your favour. Pleased we didn't humiliate ourselves!
See you later in the season

Back down to division 2 in the youths and it's not proving easy.
T. Vaughn (rm) 8-2-26-1, E. Allport 84 (109b), P. Arnold 19 (17b)
End of over 40 (8 runs) - Bathaloner(215-3) RR 5.38
Quite a difficult target to chase on a green pitch. As usual my bowlers can't take any wickets, maybe I should switch to flat or hard as then at least they have some kind of excuse (other then their age).
W. Takarusenga (rm) 5-0-23-1, S. Whitehead 1 (1b), W. Mills 40 (66b)
End of over 25 (3 runs) - Ruff Royals(109-2). 107 runs required from 15 overs. RR 4.36 RRR 7.13
Just lost our second wicket and we're struggling to keep up with the RRR. It's not impossible but only if we don't lose any more wickets, get into the 30th over and really start to go for the runs.
